should probably add something like:

Selling or otherwise transferring this item to a third party, or allowing a third party to use this product is only permitted if they accept the conditions herein, and failure to pass on or otherwise inform them of these conditions may result in you assuming full responsibility for anything that may occur as a result of this.

ie, to make sure anyone at all who uses the device will have accepted those conditions.

maybe add something saying that if they sell it they should obtained a signed copy of this statement from the buyer to protect themselves (given theyre the ones selling or otherwise giving it away), and must forward a copy along to me?

in terms to tracking any potential theft, along with being able to info people about upgrades etc, it would be good for me to know who the new owners are if anyone ever sells theirs, so it would be good to get that into it

just letting everyone know ive received some boards i sent away to be made/assembled for usb-serial converters that can be used for those who dont have a serial port on their laptops - they use the FTDI chip which is pretty much the best chip out there for converters - but theyre expensive! (others give u random BSOD/resets like the targus one i have). its a bit simpler converter in that it doesnt convert the handshaking signals (which are used by modems etc, but not consult interfaces)

still have to test them though

with any luck ill have some of them made by time i finish testing and start selling the displays. most likely price will be around the $20-$25 mark. compared to the $50+ here, hopefully thats ok :)

this weekend or thru the week next week is still looking possible. i pretty much only need to finalise the setup for the injector size, add a fuse and a few other hardware things, then make the cables and put it in the box. got a couple uni assignments that ill hopefully get out of the way by wednesday so ill have couple days and maybe saturday to finish it off, fingers crossed. also need to finalise the disclaimer/waiver that will need to be signed, and that should hopefully be it!

Hey mate,

I noticed im in your interest list but im not confirmed....

Definetly keen on one.

They are looking better everytime i check.

Functions are great, the addition of 400m is awesome, though i cant wait to see how much wheelspin throws it out!!!!! :)

yeh, wish something could be done about that, but until cars come with accelerometers to measure speed rather than the current gearbox/wheelturns method, its impossible. theres possible mathematical methods to try and guess whats wheelspin, when it stops, and then assume linear acceleration over from timestart to when wheelspin stops (then normal from then on), but simply the most accurate way is to not wheelspin to begin with

real drivers dont get wheelspin anyway

ive put u down as confirmed

nar mate you can take me off the list ive got somehting else now sorry dude good luck with the sale

they look the treat

Hey Peter, lookin forward to the finished product as I just replaced my diagnosed as faulty Knock Sensors by someone who will remain nameless! :D

-NOT an easy task as had to remove all intake manifolds etc to do them.

STILL same problem of intermittent not firing all cyls and timing /fuel going out to lunch, so hope your LCD Consult Box will help to contribute to solve problem!

Please send asap

sorry didn't mean to get too far off topic....but attesa takes the longitudinal gsensor as input which is what you would need for accurate acceleration figures. I think the 34 vspec puts the output on the screen but they all have the sensors

yeh, just depends hoe theyt get the reading, i gyues itd be reading sensor directly. anyway ocnce ive got the first lot going ill start another thread with suggestions for improvements/extensions (got an idea for an extension for logging to some kind of memory card as a possibility)

Hey Peter, how are you this week to meet up and test the GTR one?

check ur pm re: testing availability

ive finished the firmware so once i finish building the devices for the testers (one completed so far) ill be able to start testing with them. either thru the week, or next weekend.

some pics of the first "final" device completed for testing. the black blob on the cord is a external vreg (basically means device itself stays cooler) which will warm up a bit (heatshrink takes care of it), and also a 0.5A fuse (this "should" be enough, but testing will determine if it needs to be a higher value or not)

    • Didnt realise RB's had more then 1 head.
    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
