Brisby - Yes! YAY! I ran a 129.53 on my first run. My second run was hindered with a little bit of ran and a penalty for having street tyres on the rear.

And no I didn't have the Top Gun music playing while I had the car show in car camera, it would have been so cool too because the camera was facing me not the road, i could've been singing danger zone or something!! haha. I was too stressed about the whole tyre issue to think of music. Next time gadget.

I do hope you and James liked my air guitar move though when we pulled up next to you on the way home blasting the Top Gun Theme music!!

Cool times are up. My best result is 14th outright in the Short Wang. Got to be happy with that considering my launch would really hurt me on such a short event

I dont feel so bad now.I have a couple top 20 outright results a fair few top 30 results and then in the 40s. My problem is that on the skidpan im coming 70th :)

what happened to the times at Sandown ? Was there a problem with the car?

I went first obviously and there was something seriously wrong in my 1st run. The car had no pull in 3rd or 4th gear. My top speed down the straight after the run was 178km/hr! The car was blowing a lot of smoke too. Our only guess was the engine was WAY overfilled with oil which Chris said he did. The top speed for my 2nd run was better at 221km/hr but still below where it should have been. I also had a slight sprinkle of rain in my 2nd run which caught me out at turn 2 and at the entry to the fast kink. 4th gear was also shagged so we were having to double clutch it which was a new experience for me. Plus by this stage our tyres were shagged. Check out how they were at the end of the day!

LOL. Z-tune? Meh, the thing is 4wd and eleventy billion dollars with eleventy billion kws and it is only 6/10 of a second quicker then the RB20 over the standing half mile

Hell, i wish i had the balls to run the boost on Saturday that i was running on Sunday. The extra 30rwkws may have helped

Im stoked with how the car went now. At the time i was a bit miserable but the old girl got some real good results, shame that the bad results were equally as bad :D

hahahaha Troy, the Z Tune did a 15.46 ;)

Congrates guys and Juz!!!!

Sounded like an awesome weekend, wish i could have made it for the weekend, but i was stuck at Calder.

Sounded like fun was had by all, with terrific results to boot

Thanks for all the updates and pics.

On the oveall results, how come Jeff and Peter are down as a 2000 model VI? They were in a red IX so 05/06 model I thought. Phenominal driving by the pair either way.

Am very impressed by the overall standard though.

Yeah, and I didn't manage to see the 3400 model porsche GT3 driven by James Dutton!!!

Back to the future?

Hi all!

Great effort from the Skyline guys & gal at dutton. Awesome to watch the motorkhana at Sandown with that gravelly surface and all. Sure made light work of your tyres Snowy

Good to meet some of you last night afterwards. So from a new member of "the darkside"...see ya 'round!

Back to the future?

LOL! Just noticed that as well!

Marcus White will surely be pissed with his car classified as a 1995 when his plate says 1996!

If you look you'll also see Chris and I were driving a 1999 GTR. Basically the EVO guys would have originally entered that they were doing it in Jeff's old car and like for us never updated the information on the new car.

Makes sense now. Surprises me though as all weekend the organisers demonstrated exceptional efficency with data. E.g awards and times that night, SMS results, results on the web already.

2. The Winton Flip Flop can be a scary place.

I can second that... YOWZERS!!

Yeah, I did leave on Sunday with a nasty headache...maybe it was the MJR car... oh well, it still sounded great for the 3 times that I saw it!! mmmmmm 7 litres and a holinger sequential... heaven!!

Bris, I saw that NSW GT-R with similar plates to yours! I thought you had lent him your plates for driving to the event or somehting... weird!!

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
