Disgusted By Actions Of Cold Hearted Scums

Recommended Posts

hi all, long time reader, first time poster

never thought about joining, but what has happened today has really made my blood boil

this afternoon, saturday 23rd sept 2006 at about 5pm 'ish

on my street (Green street, noble park)

some twits in a skyline ran over a cat

"so what?" you say?

the fact that before this, they were swerving like FCUK tarts all along corrigan road, merging in and out of traffic

turned into green street and started gunning it

saw a cat and slowed down for it (like they could), but after hitting it, decided to run off

i was behind you the whole way, and i saw everything. there was even a witness walking on the path that also saw and was mortified.

Silver skyline, R 33 with a small wing on the boot

if i had gotten your plates, i would have reported you.

my gf was absolutely traumatised by it, at such a cold blooded hit and run

had to get out and see if it was still alive

still breathing but died afterwards. blood on the road and my guess either a broken neck or internal bleeding

moved it to the nature strip and went to find the owners

JUST PATHETIC! so because it was a cat, it's okay to run off? i hope that karma gets you good, and that the blood on your front bumper never comes off :)

i'm not gonna go and start generalising about skyline drivers. i know alot of guys with skylines and 180's etc and their all coool guys who do the right thing (and have a concience)

but it's just disgusting how 1 person can go and totally change the way others percieve things

i'm sorry, but from now on i'll be sure to pay more attention to any 'hooning' skyline i see and get the plates down :)

end rant

yeh ive seen the silver one around here as well some people abuse their cars so so much. But hey i spose these are the twats who had their cars bought by mommy and daddy and thus have spoilt wanker syndrome.

Hmmm - what a bunch of idiots....

thats one of the few things i will not tolerate - cruelty to animals of any kind. I hope someone took their number plate down......

Edit - not trying to look down on you or anything, but if you were behind them, dont you remember the plates? Or is it just psychos like me that remember plates and faces of all those pathetic motherf**kers.....

yeh, i think i may just take notice of anyone hooning, as it's not the car, it's the tart behind the wheel

i didn't really pay much attention to it. i thought, "yeh, his an idiot, better stay back"

but if i had known, i would have gotten his plates down and reported him :)

did they leave any tire marks? do you remember anything specific about the car? I think you should have reported it to the police either way, that way they will seek more witnesses and hence they could have had something to work with to catch those idiots....

I acknowledge the guy was a dipshit and driving like a fool. But in my opinion that cat should not have been on the road in the first place. If the owners were responsible for it's safe keeping they need to keep it off the road.

If i struck any animal on the road, i would stop, feel a little bad then see if it had any tags to get the owners to pay for my damages.

Sorry, my opinion............... You take responsibility for your pets and ensure they are kept off public roads.

also very true....

i had hit a dog, cos it was off its leash. It was literally 2 cms from the tyre after i had stopped - and there is no worse thing to hear than an animal in pain (or a person for that matter)

The cops would not even bother... They've got better stuff to worry about - ie. who's buying the next round of doughnuts!

but on serious note, it takes a sick f**k not to stop after hitting an animal (of domestic kind anyway!)

Exactly..Plenty of them on the road, give the rest of skyline owners a bad name!

Even if u got his number plate, how could u prove he was "hooning" plus its the cats fault neway. I guess it is a bit coldhearted to drive off since u never know the cat could have survived but honestly wat do u expect these days from todays society.

agreed

you dont need proof... my boss could lose his licence because someone reckoned he crossed double lines while overtaking...

why was the cat on the road, where was the owner in all of this? imagine tho if the drive had of tried tomiss the cat... lockup and you run up his arse? or swerve off the road into a pole or another car? would you rather you or someone go to hospital over a cat? i hope he damaged his front bar and find the owner of the cat and charges for repairs.

If you let you pet run around the streets your a shit owner, especially if its a cat.

I would also like to raise another point. You being discussted with this drivers behavoir is warranted, but who said anything about this person being an SAU member or even a skylinesaustralia.com forum user?

There are plenty of d1cks out there in Skylines I will admitt. But the majority of us are decent human beings. If you base your opionios of the whole club on one drivers actions, then I think you are a little shallow.

But I do disagree with this person failing to stop.

On the other hand he/she may have been in shock, or may have not been able to deal with the sight of blood etc. Unfortunatly we don't know his/her circumstances or frame of mind.

For a member of the public to report a "hooning offence" and proove it is very difficult.

If it was to go to court there are numerous ways to pick apart " the expert witness"

have you had a fine?

do you drive a high powered car?

did you follow the speeding car?

have you had your speedo recently calibrated?

have you done a vic police approved speed estimation course?

etc...

It would also be interesting to hear your definition of hooning and how it relates to the anti hoon laws recently implemented.

Perhaps you could point out the section of legislation that this individual alledgedly committed offences against.

OR

You saw some idiot driving 3 km over the limit, his car was low or loud, your jealous, whatever it doesnt matter, but you thought you would bring it to the attention of a respectable skyline community and make a hero out of yourself.

Tell me and be honest that you have never broken the law? never lost traction? never had a beer and got behind the wheel? never illegally parked?

I have. But. I have learnt from my mistakes.

I have also many years ago had the misfortune of hitting a person with a car. Let me tell you mate, the feeling you get when you see a pair of legs in the air, hear the bang as the car hits them is the worst feeling imaginable. Have you ever looked over at someone and thought you have killed them?

Luckily I was only doing 40Kph and the person was not seriously injured. But I still had that bad feeling.

So look at it this way, I would rather run over 100 cats than swerve and run the risk of mowing down some kid playing in their driveway.

If you feel so bad, then do something to actually help the situation, go find the owner of the deceased animal, buy them a new one, bury the old one and get on with your life.

    • If you've wired up the coils & injectors properly, & have the neo CAS loom for the trigger, it should all work. The VCT works the same way so just different plugs between s1 & neo. Assuming DBW if no IAC. Don't bother with the stock boost solenoid with g4x.
    • THERE IS NO IAT SENSOR ON ANY SINGLE TURBO RB. And the one on an RB26 is not for "engine control" - it's really too big and too slow and is only used for over-temp alarming (as far as I can tell). Anyway, you don't have one. You want/need one for the Link, then you need to buy one, find a spot for it, and wire it in. You do know that the stock boost solenoid is not capable of "control", right? It is merely on or off, for the low boost (5 psi) and high boost (7psi), which the ECU enforces mostly based on gear. The stock solenoid is not for PWM control and is not plumbed up in a way to provide it. If you want to control boost properly, then you need a proper MAC valve. And yes, you can wire either of them direct to the ECU. Well, I assume you can - I don't know what the boost solenoid pins on the plug and play Link are capable of. They really should be as capable as any normal Link - but seeing as it is plg and play, it might be limited to stock functionality. Read the doco.   You really do just want to plug stuff together without understanding how it works, right? I can't help you there. I don't know the plug types or pinning on half the stuff you're asking about. If I had to do it I would sit down with the wiring diagrams, the car/looms and a multimeter and work out what is what.
    • Light should be a pressure switch, not a sensor.
    • The pressure light likely has a different sender to a pressure gauge, its been too long for me to remember for sure. Just have a look for another sender down near the oil filter. If you are confident in your rewired pressure sender reading correctly, you can be pretty sure it is just the dash light's sender failing, it is a pretty common thing.
    • It would be nice to see the result, but instagram is a click too far
