HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. oh man. i need to go outside. :w00t:

As an IT Administrator in a fairly large corporation, I'd like to say that if any dirty shit is found on any computers under my control, I wouldn't personally care, its up to the supervisors of the departments on what action needs to be taken at first to stop it and warn the offenders. So please don't give IT guys at your work daggers cause they like softcore pornography as much as you do.

Peace,

Pauly.

OK.. can I please get some clarification on what is acceptable and what's not re adult material in sections other than the wasteland? :D (oh and I don't mean avatars but pics as well)

Like at what point is it not acceptable.. I'm told bikini's etc are ok as it's the same as Autosalon pics.. tho I don't agree with Autosalon pics being worksafe either but at least they're usually in a clearly marked thread.. and also then I don't need to explain to my daughter why there are girls hanging off cars wearing not much, but she has to keep her dress down etc etc...

Anyway I know all workplaces have different policies.. like I don't even know how half of you can look at NS.com caus it's always been blocked from the first load at every company I've ever worked at.. YET if you work in the govt you can pretty much look at anything.. but anyyyhooo is there an SAU policy or guidelines or something?

Thankyou :D

do the mods agree that the avatar of m3gtr is adult?

If so can you please ask him to change it, as I asked him politely if he could change it to something more G rated and he refused.

My daughter was sitting right next to me when I was replying in a motorsport thread and she almost saw it.

Cheers,

~Kaz

seems like alot of adult avatars lately and noone seems to be fixing them.. are we no longer a family site?

I have to be really careful about letting my daughter see the screen while I am doing SAU VIC stuff.

I sent a PM a while ago to.. (will look now) but no response...

kaz we have a thread in the mods section where we discuss and action inappropriate avatars, report them if you see things.

the problem that makes it difficult is that the rules only officially mention nudity, but there are lots of un-naked but not family friendly avatars, including people who deliberately push the line and then complain when we remove it

Those people are annoying caus it's a waste of time and energy, it's not a 15 yr old geek/porn fest here (thats called NS.com). Maybe I'll start sending pics of ugly naked guys to them and see how they like it :ermm: They'll have to be careful when their mums walk in the room that she doesn't see the screen at an inopportune moment.. :)

PS thanks for the help

thanks for stickin up for us ppl workin i know if my boss caught me lookin up porn i wouldnt have a job.

How about you people do your job, what youre being paid to do. Rather than going to car forums, which isn't work related anyway. Then there won't be any problems.

I fail to see why people expect that it's their right to be able to go to websites at work that aren't work related, then expect that site(SAU) to censor it so they don't get in trouble for it.

Seriously, do your f**king jobs.

Have you failed to read the guidelines that you agreed to abide by when registering on this forum agent_provocateur?

Kinda self explanatory.

Nothing wrong with people using their lunch break, i know my work doesn't mind at all and many other companies are the same.

So people are right, to think this site is friendly @ work based on the guidelines (again, did you read them?)

Funnily enough, I am in the middle of re-writing all of the guidelines and howto's for this site... Its a big job!

Kaz, I feel I need to reassure you that it is definately a family site. I know a few people who will browse the site with a youngan on their lap (myself included) and I'd hate for people to not be able to do that.

Please rest assured that things do get actioned, it just takes time sometimes.

You're right nismoid.

I work at a school, and I am allowed to look at sau etc while having lunch, or on a break.

Problem is, its a religious school, and we can't have crap avatars floating around, some are just junk even if I am at home!

And before anyone jacks up about being at a religous school - One of the Pastors here is a car freak, and races at the local drag strip often. So don't think religous people don't do this sort of sport. Oh and for those that don't know what a pastor is - its the equavalent to a priest (except they can have a wife and kids, etc)

    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
