It wasn't. We allowed it as long as it was kept to a socially acceptable standard. I'm sure when you open up a mag like FHM you don't see someone writing an article called "check out this camel toe" with pics of chicks of said toe-age.

But someone (you) decided no, that you'd link to a porn site (the URL clearly bloody had "PORN" in it, so don't play innocent) with that stuff in it... after we clearly said that we'd allow the thread as long as it was kept clean. So we've put a stop to it.

Now, we give a foot of allowance, and you keep pushing for a yard, then its just easier to see you leave. As for most of the people on SAU, how about you stop with your childish need to see semi naked women, and we'll see how many people actually leave. Its a gamble we're willing to take.

You also have to remember that most employers log what URL's are being accessed thru proxy servers etc. It usually sets off alarm bells when the word "porn" comes up on that list with you as the person accessing it, and all it takes is for you to hotlink an image off a website, PG or not, to get someone into trouble. I implement that shit for a living, and I've seen how people get caught out.

And FYI; no user should have to disable anything or stay out of any section just so you can resolve your sexual frustration... if you like porn or porn-orientated images that much, go to a porn site - simple.

I stand by my initial comments and that of the other moderators, administrators etc. This is a automotive forum which ALLOWS for other sections; users like you abuse this right and ruin it for many others. I'm sure Prank will be very happy openning up HIS forum and seeing all that stuff.

Think about it from our POV, we're trying to tell everyone we're a warm and welcome community, which part of your "art" will be warm and welcoming to the female Skyline drivers huh?

As for viewing it at work; you'll find that many companies are lenient towards what staff can view - I've seen quite a few IT policies from many companies to prove so. However, never ever have I seen a policy which permits staff to view pornography.

Maybe you can try it at your next job; don't try and hide it either - just stream porn all day long and see what the others say.

I think everyone should realise now rules are rules, it doesnt matter what the rules are or whoever makes them if you step outside the rules you will get punished.

You have to realise that this is a peoples forum, if a minority likes images as previously posted in SFN's and threads alike, doesnt mean the majority wont get offended does it?

Also another thing is, its not just people at work as an example that the mods are catering for for bringing in rules and the like? THIS is a PUBLIC forum, meaning the PUBLIC can access it at all ages, un restricted, so who would be the blame if the mods allowed those images to continue in these forums, and some school kid got introuble for accessing it?

Other points raised Previously also are true, Just because these images are easily accesible elsewhere, doesnt mean SAU has to follow suit, And as previously said, THIS IS a CAR related and technical Forum, we are trying to provide an excellent service to alot of people out there who are car enthusiasts. I posted in the original thread but under the assumption it was exactly as funky said a socially acceptable thread much the same as a ralph or FHM mag. People did take it to far and the thread degenerated further towards smut with people seeing how far they could go... While I agree we are grown ups and should regulate our own actions and what we open or click on but the topic was a little misleading and even went off topic from the original purpose.... at the end of the day its the moderators jobs to do whats in the best in the interest of the group and this is the best solution as it's a car forum; and as most of us know there is plenty of porn on the rest of the internet to keep SAU clean of it.

May I suggest as a female on this mans world forum that perhaps have a soft porn thread as a sticky for all those inclined?

That way anyone who is at work and clicks on the thread is doing so knowing that its 'softporn...for those that can't help themselves' and cannot complain to mods about such things and those that like this sort of thing are also happy.

I entered the 'sexiest female names and google it' thread and was lucky enough to not see any norty girly pics(9that was a while ago now). And also read something along the lines of camel toes and decided not to go in there.

It is hard to know which thread is going to pop up with norty pics and which are clean.

There is also someone with a very boooby avatar which I dislike, but I just skip what he has to say lol
