the same dude will come past my work sliding if its ever wet... like this morning.

ahhhh what a f*&^%ed Saturday! went down to QR on saturday for a bit of a watch but before we could get there, the boys in blue were going to have something to say about it. travelling with a mate in my car and 4 in gooches 32, we were cruising down past the twin bps. merging car decides he will sit right next to us as his lane is running out, so gooch takes middle lane me in the left and give it a little squirt . pretty much after coming on boost i had to break for a truck doing about 60 :S while slowing down (blocked in) i notice the blue fatal 4 xr6turbo fanging up behind me in the middle lane lights on. waiting for him to pass i look over my shoulder to see the cop with his head out the window doing everything he could to make eye contact. he sceamed out follow me or us or something and took off after gooch. so anyway about 200m up the road, they pull me over while old mate was already getting spoken too, but here's where things got dodgy.

cop stick his head in and went though the usual any idea what speed, do i know the other driver (which i didnt untill that day) and then went on to tell me i was doing 120 in a 100 zone and that since gooch was in front of me at the time, they had got me and not him. i asked to have a look at the gun which showed up 120 and the cop proceeds to start writing me a ticket. meanwhile gooch has come over to me and said how they got him and not me for the 120. he asked to have a look at he gun and the guy showed him the same 120. still wondering if its worth taking to court, i don't even know if it was our 120 because he was so far back when he put his lights on. anyone had anything similar and won?

oh and to top it off fuel pump shit itself about 2kms from home X( DAMMIT.end

Woot! Bout time, this place is dead.

Was on sutherland street in buderim for work.

Was inside a house and heard something loud drive past with a loud whine and thought to myself "I bet anything thats an RB". It sounded amazing, and as if it had a to4z/dogbox on it. Crazy whine comming from it.

Quickly went outside to sneak a peak, and out the corner of my eye spotted a WHITE R32 SKYLINE. Fairly sure it was a 4door.

If he's on here ;), sounded nice brother

for htose up that way - the club wants to meet up with you and see where you play. I'm looking for suggestions on where. cairncross? landsborough? montville?

looking to do a longish day criuse with the final point at ettamogah?

interested??

Hey Chris,

Yes, we are definitely interested. We went on a run last weekend and it was a perfect day apart from my turbo oil return splitting and coating tires in oil on the way down dulong. Everyone made it home unscathed luckily. Probably be going this weekend again. When were you thinking about heading up?

PHT33

I have an official date in mind but mid june is all I will say at this point. need your feedback on it though. I know that you can play in the hills at landsborogh and all up that way to montvile. I do know that there are a few other roads in there that are not major roads that are also fun.

the brissy guys will be in tow with me (10-20 of us) so we would like to see a good time :P

thoughts??

Yep, well i caught up with chris last weekend and did a bit of a scout run for everyone, and showed chris a few good driving roads up this way for the cruise. so he will be mapping out a cruise route soon if he hasnt already :) , everyone should get there caps on and attend this one, we been too slack of late. i will be attending if my car is up and running by then. hopefully. if not still might come in other car. So get along and support chris and sauqld and meet some fellow skyliners!

Cheers

Daz.

guys , route sorted. it drops off the side off a cliff in one spot :P but I reckon you will like it.

daz,

quite similar to what we did on sunday.

guys if you have UHF radios - bring them.

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
    • There is a really fun solution to this problem, buy a Haltech (or ECU of your choice) and put the MAF in the bin.  I'm assuming your going to want more power in future, so you'll need to get the ECU at some stage. I'd put the new MAF money towards the new ECU.
