You can also drop a 350chev in them :P

Hah, a friend of mine at uni had one and they're insanely tough.

Yeah, I used to have one too. First car I ever drove. Taught me everything I need to know about driving (which explains a lot).

I checked the VSI's for modified cars when I had it, and with the car's kerb weight you can legally fit a 5.0L FI engine (Holden 308 twin turbo, anyone?) or a 5.7L NA (350 Chev, LS1, etc). Got sleeper?

And mine was tough too. I drove it hard, and drove it into a few things, and the thing just kept on running. I also once had some guy in an EA Falcon mistake his throttle pedal for his brake and shunt into the back of me. The Falcon's front bar was smashed, radiator mounts broken, cracked headlights.

My Volvo's rear bumper was scuffed and marked with the Falcon's paint, and with a KFC moist towelette I got rid of that.

Last lunatic I knew with a 240 coupe threw a 350 in his and used to drive it all over the place getting whacked on by Sydney traffic for a few years, sick bastard also used to put little flags down the front quarter panel on the drivers side.

They where not for drags won... they where for cars and bikes the damn thing had run into it, killed and kept going

About the only thing comparable in 'sedan' toughness I can think of off the top of my head is the old W123 mercedes chassis, those things just keep on going for a half a million miles, hit with clusterbombs, antipersonel mines, sprayed down with 7.62mm rounds and keep on rollin', ride of choice for 3rd world gangstas! :)

You could probably have a beach party and V8 under the hood with one of them!

Silver- colour code aka as 'Battleship Grey'

Burnt Orange- colour code aka as 'Felony Orange'

White- colour code aka as 'Crusader of Mass Justice White'

Cola Brown- colour code aka as 'Bikers Pants Brown'

Red - colour code aka as 'Slaughterhouse Red'

Beige - colour code aka as 'Suburban Ninja Special White'

Black- colour code aka as 'Mall Gangster Black' fairly rare though this one.

Volvo is also latin for "I Roll"

they are heaps expensive for what they are.

ideally I'm just looknig for a shell, but seeing as there aren't any, I'm looking for a car that's cheap as chips so I can tear everything out of it and put my gear in!

http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...te_DateTime%7C1 4ly sik bro

not that cheap but you could probably get it cheaper off them without stereo, wheels, etc and then you have a shiny blue paint job to look at

how about a datsun 1600? a mate of mine has one that he would be willing to swap for a set of nismo 740cc injectors for a s15 ($500 from nengun)

    • Unless you're fortunate enough to buy a newer car, getting an older style plate to match your name/car is difficult because they've already been purchased.  Unlike other countries, personalised plates are locked to the country and not region, so there can't be multiple versions of the same plate but with a different area code.  Hope that helps
    • People use the numbers to make it look like letters to spell words/names, which is where the illegal spacing comes in. For example this GR Yaris

    • That's why I said it is a meaningless term. Because there is more than one meaning that people can apply to it. When we said "highflow", that is exactly what we mean, and exactly what is done. In a highflow, they take your housing and machine them out to take bigger wheels, have a better internal profile, etc etc, and fit a new core with the different/better/bigger wheels.
