Ill sticky it for you guys for now, but.....

Cause NSW has a lot of stickies, if this one turns dormant ill unsticky it to keep the section looking neat and tidy

This thread is way more active than Newcastle... I don't understand why it shouldn't be a sticky??? (my extremely uneducated opinion btw) :(

i dunno who you are but i like you!

lazy bastards!

quite frankly, I'm glad the execs don't have the power.

ps.. can you please rename the thread "The Land of Liz"? It has a nice ring to it.

Im glad you dont have the power either!

It would be "BanCity", and yes, you would ban me first :O

You guys decide on a name and ill change it for you :(

land of all weevils

heheheh

north shore thread or something, include most people not just hornsby :P

how about land of soft toys aye chubbs!! full of fluffy toys that are SOFT!!

2 points. I am growing weary of all the stickies in nsw. personally i think it's getting a bit out of control with now nearly a full page of stickies in NSW.

secondly i dont think hornsby is really north shore is it? I would have thought northshore runs from crowsnest to turramurra. hornsby is north.

Why don't we just call it "the I don't give a s#!t thread" cause as long as it's there to be posted in, I don't think anyone really cares... :)

Isn't it a good thing that the threads/sticky's are growing??? (ie: more people??? again my very uneducated opinion here!!!)

Hornsby could always be merged with the Coasties thread...? Although I don't know what it would be called... central horns? coastal horns? coastbys? :P

Just a thought.....

I....

......have a great idea!!! (dont laugh people, I'm capable of the occasional moment of brilliance!)

Who uses this thread the most? Hornsby, surrounding suburbs and the Coasties.

What links The Coasties and Hornsby? Old Pac Hwy.

Why dont we merge Central coast thread and The Hornsby thread and call it...

...The Old Pac Thread!!! We are always chating to each other and either coming up or goin down to meets together and most of us already know each other anyway!

So what does everyone think??? Feel free to say its a pooh idea if ya want, but I reckon it would save space in the stickies and save time for us always jumpin around to each others threads to chat!

Just a thought guys. :):P

Yes Richard we have a lot of stickies, but if thats what works for everyone (well most people) then i dont have a problem scrolling down a tiny bit :P

Although i agree we have a lot, like i said in this thread, if any become dormant they'll be taken down :)

I should ad that one about a car getting hit wouldnt normally be there of course, so give it a few weeks and it will be gone aswel, that should clean it up a little bit for a start

    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
