yeah liuzzi flying backwards over the ripple strip was pretty hairy. the safety car did well to avoid that one! I don't think I've ever seen an F1 car collect a safety car before. and hamilton was VERY lucky not to have his big mac cleaned up by albers when he came steaming into the gravel.

yeah i agree. he was fast and passing lots of cars, but they were all pretty average cars and often he was on the better tyre at the time when he was moving forward. he made quite a few errors.

Also am I the only one surprised that alonso (or more accurately Mclaren) didn't get penalised for the way he left his pit box straight into the path of another car?

id like to see you stand there when the car is launching toward you and just misses you by inches.

id be rightly pissed and looking for a head or two to roll..

im not out there to get my legs amputated by a hotheaded spaniard..

F1 drivers arent exactly the smartest chaps in the world are they??

that arguement seemed oddly reminiscent of an Irvine senna battle a few years ago...

yeah, with him still sitting in the thing...

how he managed to get out of that is very lucky. WTF were the drivers carrying so much speed into turn one for in the first place??

"christian, there are 3 cars in the kitty litter at turn one. Please slow down and watch yourself, its very easy to aquaplane out there.."

"okey, no probleem, ill keep pusheeng!"

( now stuck in the litter )

"guys im reeely sorry for dis.. I didnt understand what you said. I need some more english practice i theenk."

yeah I would complain too. it was a bullshit decision by his pit crew to release him, and a bad one on his part not to give way to the car in the fast lane.

lol, albers was flying towards lewey. lewis certainly has some bloody good luck. cheeky little bugger.

I am just so pleased webber got a good result. it should help his career along a bit. he drove very well and kept it on the track and most importantly kept everyone else behind him. it shows for sure that he was a good driver in a poor car that he was over a minute behind second place yet still managed to keep everyone else (what was left of them) behind him.

You know what. Watching Alonso last night...he is brilliant. I do feel for Massa though. He ran well and then the rain? Well it looks like he just didnt have the tyres/car to finish the job he had been doing all day.

But again, not a fan of Alonso, but you have to sit back and respect that he is bloody good.

yeah alonso drove a good race. but how girly was his little fist punching standing in front of the podium. it was like he was a 12 year old girl in a punch up with his little arms flailing around. maybe he should go back to his animal impressions? give me schueys leap any day.

lol, at least we can all agree on that!

and massa is a bit of a man-girl as well. sure he can pick fights with gonzo but I'd like to see one of them start a fight with coulthard, or montoya...

I just watched on the News that next years Formula 1 in melbourne WILL have a later start. I dont know how late this is, and whether its night but I hope it is!!

Also V8 supercars are back next year.

Can anyone confirm on next years late start?

Massa being brazillian aside, i see your point, and i LOL'd

hmm, yeah that was a bit flawed. but in my defense i'll say that though he may have been born in brazil, if it looks like a euro fag, talks like a euro fag, acts like a euro fag and smells like a euro fag then let's just call it euro fag. sorry massa.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
