well i headed to shep at midnite on sat nite.. got there n brisby had spent $400 on strippers... chris left rawhide n we stumbled upon him waiting in the kfc drivethrough where we had a lil tool wanting to take everyone on.

i left shep at 4.30 n i think bris was still at the strippers (would have stopped but cbf paying another $12 just to c him sitting there)

n i hear shan had an accident with a gate. as paul would say "got gate?"

Great pix guys!

Thanks again everyone for coming and making this another successful event - and to CarSales and Provex for their generous support.

MASSIVE thanks to Westy, Ben, Min, Jar, Sarah, Adam and Adam - and everyone else who helped out during the day. Especially Dan the BBQ king - best evar!

Everyone competing is getting much better - I think this was our lowest incidence of cone-hits, so the results for the day will be extra close! Bring on some more photos - and the next round in May

James

Thanks to the organisers of the day and also the marshalls/timers. I really appreciate you standing out there in baking sun so I can hammer the car round.

Great Saturday night and Chris/Mav on stage at the strippers had me just about in tears with laughter.

Ace weekend all round

Was one of the best ones I've competed in yet...I missed out last feb, so was my first time doing those particular events, and they were a lot of fun

Managed to not hit a single cone all day up until the afternoon battles, so I'm pretty happy with that effort :P

Thanks to the organisers etc...

PRIORITY ENTRY TO THE NEXT ONE

Once again, another successful DECA full of quick runs, awesome cars and friendly people.

I personally had a ball as a competitor this time and I congratulate Snowey and Chris for organising another great event! Special thanks also go to Bec, Min and all the other volunteers who withstood the sun to help run this event so smoothly.

Although my car isn't setup very well for the skid pan, I still have fun where I could and I've finally paid off my debts to those I've promised a drive to

It was worth getting BURNT to see Jeff's N1, David's 10sec Monster (Lucky there was no FIRE BAN lol), Mr Brisby.....racing. (Gotta love the Gate)

Well done Garreth, clocking the fastest time on street tyres, go R32gtr . Very close to Garreth is one of the J-spec crew wide body R33...and Pete as well, great effort on street tires, some cheap Hankook too.

Those who are competing on street tires might like to find out which Hankook is it off Pete.

Hey all,

That was another great day up at DECA and the level of driving ability across the field was really impressive. I believe some of the skidpan events have even been won outright by RWD cars running normal street tyres. I can't wait to see the final results as it is going to be damn close up the top. It should be a good championship this year. It is a testiment to how much these days have improved the driving ability of everyone as well as mainly being a stack of fun to do.

As mentioned and can be seen in the pics it was another hot one and so my appreciation goes out to everyone who helped run the day. If it isn't for this help we can't run these days so it's great appreciated. And I will be putting together a priority list for the next event for everyone that did lend a hand (if they wish to enter).

Finally a big thanks to the President James for letting me run around in his Stock Cheater Evo. Straight out of the box they are an impressive machine and once you understand them damn easy to drive fast. And thanks also to Leewang for the run in the Purple Monster. It's a beast and there is nothing wrong with it on the skidpan mate! You just need some practise.

But everyone keep the pics and vids coming. They are great.

Hey guys,

Thanks to all the officials for putting up with the heat so that we can have fun, and Snowy and Chris for organising another great day.

Had an awesome day in team cheater evo! It's a very different beast to the WRX! I think it'll take a few more decas to get the hang of it!

Can't wait for the next one...

:)

    • UPDATE: Yes the GSP Axles are compatible. I installed it on my R34 today and they are working a treat! Turns out that the S13, S14, S15, and 200 SX all used the same axles as the HR34, and ER34 NA models. Which is 2 bolt x 3 pairs.
    • Also build this EH ute with 370z motor and gearbox with a couple of turbos just for fun.
    • Got the passenger door on plus the master cylinder and booster. Loaded up to take it home. At home, the colour changes a lot in the light.
    • Nothing cheap, but I have seen the AC Hydraulic DK13HLQ which is pretty close to what you're asking for. The problem is the hydraulic cylinder mandates that the back of the jack be a certain height and Skylines have fairly deep inset floor jack points. A more certain and cheap option is to get some nominal 2x10 inch lumber boards and have one board be 1.5 feet, the other board 3 feet. Glue it all together with lots of clamps to maintain pressure. Make two of these. The ramp suggested above is a good idea, it takes quite a bit of clutch slip to get over each of the boards. I only need the first ~1.5 inches for my low profile jack on a standard ride height car but a lowered car you want to go up to the full ~3-3.5 inches. Paint it or store indoors if you want it to last.
    • Ok. And Nistune? I read (here too) mainly on Stagea threads that it can by "turn off" with Nistune. But they say they still had the sensor plug in. Next week iam going to the Nistune(and other ECUs) tuner so i can finally make it work. I drove the car home and apart from the cut it drove great. No misfire no smoke no hesitation or rough start...so hoping it is this sensor that is missing
