They will be showin a story tommorrow night about how Klms are being wound back. Saw a r33 gtr - apparently had 130,000 when bought at auction, but is being sold with 70,000 klms on the clock. They didnt show any other cars apart from a hilux ute.

looks like it man....but they are doing the story as if the klms changed once the car landed here......

i thought it said that on the auction sheet it showed 130,000 klms and it showed 70,000 on the car.

wouldn't that mean that it was wound back here??

ha ACA sucks, im sure they'll related it to Km's been wound back importing cars, then illegal modifying (defects) , then hoon behavior, then how hoons are all on ice... all in the space of one segement.

I can't wait till the media get to the "the sky is falling" by chicken little and

go into how the young minds are all doing pot ......

Oh they already did that last night :)

What next NEWS FLASH

RECENT EVENTS HAVE MADE US SUSPECT

"the politicians......are they lying to us or telling us the truth" :O

I think it is all the authorities, trying to come up with why we are spending so much money in running them.

And, the fact that they have discovered something no-one knew before... :D

Does the car have aftermarket guages??? - coz that would explain alot!

yeah bec - it had one of those ?nismo? 320km/h speedos (blue numbers with white backing) - which obviously would mean that it was changed at around 60,000klms. But ACA doesnt know about this - although they and most of the media are "specialists" when it comes to jap imports.

I reckon it would be funny to see what they have to say. probably another story to deter people from buying imports?

Pretty much all importers wind back clocks.

Digital distance counters are even easier to wind back. Just reflash a rom chip and off you go. Big discussion was in the Stagea section a while back.

As far as who does it, its the guys in Aus that do it and some people in Japan. 10,000km here, 10,000km there, it all adds up to reduce the km's heaps by the time it finally gets here.

And yeh, as above, its nothing new. Goooooo MEDIA! LOL

Most grey imports are that GREY IMPORTS, They speedo could be replaced etc so even in Japan they aren't a true guide to actual Kilometers done in a vehicle.

Rule of thumb by an import then do 100,00km service to be sure :)

well actually i recon its better than the all Muslims are terrorists stories they were doing a few weeks ago..... give them a few more weeks/months they will come up with another fad that they will kill to death

Wait till they discover me.

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
