Hey there,

I'm just a bit curious, I'm sure a few other people would be too

1. what car out of the R32GTR, R33GTR and the R34GTR would be the fastest?

2. what car out of the R32GTST, R33GTST and the R34GTTwould be the fastest?

3. what car out of the R32GTS, R33GTS and the R34GTSwould be the fastest?

I mean, a completely stock car, thats stock everything including rims, exhaust, turbo etc etc as it would be stright off the show room floor with 0KM on the clock of them all.

first of all I assume you are talking over the quarter mile? or 0-100 or some other straight line acceleration test?

well according to most magazines I've read they claim the 32 GTR is. but I find it hard to believe personally anything other than a 34 GTR would be the fastest.

Fair enough, is the R32GTR the lightest out of the three?

Also, edited my first post to put it in with GTR, GTST and GTS.

1. R32 GTR

2. R34 GT-T*

3. Its definately not the R32 with its rb20de... But otherwise im not sure.

*The R34 droppped the GTS-T and instead uses GT-T - Sorry to be so anal but this is a forum all about skylines :(

;) No problems, fixed it just for you :(:laugh:

Imo, the r34 gtr is the fastest

and the r33 gtst is the fastest. the r34 gtt offers negligible power gains over the r33 gtst, yet it adds on about 50 kg.

But its not really about opinions, its about facts, the R32 GTR did 0-100km/h in 4.7seconds... The R34 GTR was not as quick, mainly cause of all weight added I "think" it did 0-100km/h in about 5.0seconds

now i like to say that R33 gtst (My car) is faster than R34Gtt but 184KW against 208KW in the R34 is no egligible power increase.....plus the improvment in tourq delivery due to VVT.... :(

id be interested in the

gts-25t vs gt-t with stage 1 mods.

ie. bolt-ons > turbo back exh > fmic > 10-12psi > 265's on the back > maybe air filter upg > management > fuel system tuned.

?

gtr,

32-33-34

full exhuast > safe boost for turbo's > tune > airbox > fuel system > same width control tyre?

my guess would be the 34 next to a 400r :( which isnt qualified do to limited editioness

1. R32 GTR

2. R34 GT-T*

R32 with RB25DE

a few of the later models came out of the factory like that.. id give a guess that they'd be the fastest.. and yes i am biased because i own one :)

I think that the R34 having 206kw standard is more than a "negligible power gain" I'd put my money on a 34 (& not just because I have one)

i have to lol at the 33 GTST owner telling us 33 GTST is faster than the 34... sorry but it's just not true. 34 GTT is definately faster in a straight line, and elsewhere too.

If you look at the original post, question 3 mentioned an R32 GTS - This car came with an RB20DE.

The car you are talking about is the R32 GTS25... a different model. But I would expect that model is deffinately quicker than an R33 GTS but not sure about the R34.

Overall the R34 GTR is faster, regardless of weight, the suspension and engine are just better.

People are not understanding, this is not an opinion, its about facts...which car is quicker...

The R32 GTR when sold did 0-100km/h in 4.7seconds and 1/4 mile in 13.0seconds!

That is quicker than an R33 GTR and an R34 GTR.... DISCUSSION OVER!!!

And dont start talking about N1's etc etc because we are just comparing the base GTR's and 32 is fastest, GAME OVER!

    • After my last update, I went ahead with cleaning and restoring the entire fuel system. This included removing the tank and cleaning it with the Beyond Balistics solution, power washing it multiple times, drying it thoroughly, rinsing with IPA, drying again with heat gun and compressed air. Also, cleaning out the lines, fuel rail, and replacing the fuel pump with an OEM-style one. During the cleaning process, I replaced several hoses - including the breather hose on the fuel tank, which turned out to be the cause of the earlier fuel leak. This is what the old fuel filter looked like: Fuel tank before cleaning: Dirty Fuel Tank.mp4   Fuel tank after cleaning (some staining remains): Clean Fuel Tank.mp4 Both the OEM 270cc and new DeatschWerks 550cc injectors were cleaned professionally by a shop. Before reassembling everything, I tested the fuel flow by running the pump output into a container at the fuel filter location - flow looked good. I then fitted the new fuel filter and reassembled the rest of the system. Fuel Flow Test.mp4 Test 1 - 550cc injectors Ran the new fuel pump with its supplied diagonal strainer (different from OEM’s flat strainer) and my 550cc injectors using the same resized-injector map I had successfully used before. At first, it idled roughly and stalled when I applied throttle. Checked the spark plugs and found that they were fouled with carbon (likely from the earlier overly rich running when the injectors were clogged). After cleaning the plugs, the car started fine. However, it would only idle for 30–60 seconds before stalling, and while driving it would feel like a “fuel cut” after a few seconds - though it wouldn’t fully stall. Test 2 – Strainer swap Suspecting the diagonal strainer might not be reaching the tank bottom, I swapped it for the original flat strainer and filled the tank with ~45L of fuel. The issue persisted exactly the same. Test 3 – OEM injectors To eliminate tuning variables, I reinstalled the OEM 270cc injectors and reverted to the original map. Cleaned the spark plugs again just in-case. The stalling and “fuel cut” still remained.   At this stage, I suspect an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, caused during the cleaning process. This has led me to look into getting Frenchy’s fuel hanger and replacing the unit entirely. TL;DR: Cleaned and restored the fuel system (tank, lines, rail, pump). Tested 550cc injectors with the same resized-injector map as before, but the car stalls at idle and experiences what feels like “fuel cut” after a few seconds of driving. Swapped back to OEM injectors with original map to rule out tuning, but the issue persists. Now suspecting an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, possibly cause by the cleaning process.
    • For race cars, this is one part where I find having the roll cage bar having gone through a hole in the floor better than the build it up on a ledge inside... The Merc I help on, the main hoop ends are marked on the car, and the jack is marked... Jack goes under a few inches and lifts one whole side of the car up... Removes that fight for long slim jacks for race car duties!   My biggest issue for the daily drivers I work on, is my jacks don't go high enough. The jacks start out on a few blocks, jack it up, then start a second jack under it on more blocks, and then I can get an axle stand under it. My axle stands are presently in use, and are nearly fully extended. The car is sitting with barely more than a cm of clearance to get the wheel off the studs! Sarah's Kluger is the same, as it has an ungodly amount of droop available in the suspension and a distinct lack of good jacking points!
    • Happy? Yep, my to do list is getting shorter and shorter. Either this light approaching is the end of the tunnel, or I'm about to be hit by a train... Ha ha ha   Also, Duncan isn't that far out of town that you need to make a multi day drive out of it. 😛
