my birthdays comming up and i got a relative spending about 200 on me. so i defenitly wanna get something for the line. so far ive allready got front dump, boost controller, full exhaust, heavy duty clutch, and KnN filter. will also be getting a fmic in a couple of weeks. so my question is what should ii get next (as far as performance) for around that price range.???????

one option i was considering getting a tune on a dyno.

any other suggestions??

Why does everyone always think about power mods?

You can get just about ANY suspension component (within reason) for around the $200 mark.

Tie Rods, Rack Ends, Caster Arms, Camber Arms, Hicas Lock Bar etc.

Someone mentioned tyres, thats also not a bad option... for $200 your pretty limited, id be looking at something for your suspension. Grab them for your bday, set them aside, accumulate a few more parts, throw it all in one weekend and get yourself a wheel alignment.

EDIT:

Add some nice brake pads or a service to that list as other options also.

cos this is SAU. that and there arnt any real good suspension mods u could get for that. caster, camber etc bushes all need a wheel alignment, so ur looking at another 100 or so ontop. for suspension its probs best to save up for all them at once so u can get the wheel alignment at the same time.

only thing really is maybe sway bars, or i should say; bar.

    • End game is to: - Remove all the slop from old worn parts - Adjust setup so that the wheels actually fit and the car is drivable (currently it is not because of the extreme rubbing on the guards).   Progress over the last couple of days, removed the rear hubs! Next steps: - Buy bushings - Replace bushings/bearings on hub - Reinstall

    • A few random issues have popped up since my last update. My WMI pressure sensor failed within about 10 minutes of it seeing liquid. It was a 20$ China special, so I'm not surprised. My name brand replacement should arrive today.  My power steering assist also decided to crap out last weekend. The usual, works for about 60 seconds after starting the car then I lose it. I dusted off my old copy of NDS and connected to the HICAS ECU. Code 4 for assist solenoid.... I tested the solenoid and it's fine.  I knew the day where my HICAS ecu would crap out would come, and I welcome it. It was the last HICAS part on the car that is now in the bin. I've ordered an SSR and I will control the power steering solenoid with my Haltech ecu. It will be nice to have proper speed referenced assist again after all these years.
