93_GTR
Hi All My name is Ron Im new to this GTR thing and have a few questions to ask. Firstly i have recently purchased a 93 R32 GTR and a PFC D-Jetro (thanks to Slide) I was just wondering what would the costs be for - 1: to install and tune the PFC 2: to do a full service just to make sure everything is ok (as in change all fluids, belts, pumps?? ) and any other things that i should have looked at while its in the shop. Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/159601-service-costs/ Share on other sites
GTS-t VSPEC
Depending on whether your north or south. NOR : HyperDrive SOR: Xspeed - do alot of De Jetro's http://www.xspeed.com.au/services.php?area=garage Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/159601-service-costs/#findComment-2963181 Share on other sites
Kaido_RR
Hey Ron! and welcome to SAU and SAUWA i can only help with my question; 1: to install and tune the PFC -im not sure about the cost of installing the PFC. But tuning should be between $400-$600 for your 1st tune. Best to give some of the workshops around perth and call and they will be able to quote you up. Check out the The Consolidated Workshop thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=141454 for a list of workshops NOR and SOR. My personal recommendation for NOR is Hyperdrive (for tuning/services etc) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/159601-service-costs/#findComment-2963186 Share on other sites
GTS-t VSPEC
A full service, replacing water pump etc will be very expensive, and may not need doing if the timing belt has already been done And welcome Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/159601-service-costs/#findComment-2963210 Share on other sites

Brockas
For a simple oil change in a workshop (eg XSpeed) you're looking at $180-$217 depending on the quality of oil used. GT-R, go for the $217 one. They will also give you a report on what work may need to be done and the general overall condition of your car. May sound like a lot, but it costs me $100 minimum to do my own oil changes, ~$90 for Mobil1 and $10 for a genuine Nissan Oil filter. GTS-t VSPEC
And if you want to know the condition of your engine you can get them to do a leakdown test, which will check compression of the engine etc. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/159601-service-costs/#findComment-2963283 Share on other sites

CruiseLiner
Thanks for all the info guys.I live south of the river in beckenham. Xspeed seems to be the most recommend workshop so i might pay them a visit to see what im up for. top racing provide good service and treat customers with respect unlike some other known shops. plenty of people will recomend them on here $217 oil change is a big big rip off, surely pulling a filter off and undoing a sump plug isnt worth $130, its about a 15-20 min job max. i suppose its good value if u got a 15L sump Edited March 8, 2007 by CruiseLiner Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/159601-service-costs/#findComment-2965726 Share on other sites
SysLink67
Top racing really know their work. Every workshop has their pros and cons. But put it this way I'm yet to find a performance shop that stand behind their tune an ensure their work. The only other place I feel can do this would be Top racing after having dealt with 2 very well known performace shops when it comes to tuning the power FC D-Jettro, both their service and tune were very very poor indeed espically after "paying for what I got". R32 Driver
There isnt any workshop that would gaurentee there tune because theres just to much liability esp when the engine is pushed at its limits no one is going to gaurentee that it will hold together or not lean out Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/159601-service-costs/#findComment-2965817 Share on other sites
