if you want it to last dont sacrifice a nice safe street tune for the bragging rights of an extra ten kilowatts or so those mods will make very nice power for a street car look in the rb25 turbo upgrade thread and you will find someone who has close to those mods and see how much there making as a rough guide but every car is different.

If you want your car to last upgrade fuel pump and injectors.

With your current set-up, i'll say maybe 220rwkw. Upgrade injectors and pump then you should make about 240-250rwkw at about 17psi.

The the engine's lifespan all depends on how you drive it and how often you thrash it.

100 ks is not a lot.

A lot of the cars here are are fanging really hard with over 150 000 or even 200 ks.

At the end of the day, replacing the engine with another one from the wreckers will only cost as much as you spent on the pfc + tune (not a lot).

In answer to your question, the limit will be the stock afm and injectors. Probably around 210-220 rwkw.

1 bar on that turbo will be a bit much i think. Maybe around 12-13psi will be more like it.

Is that due to his fuel system or do you think the turbo is not up to the task of higher boost?

I used 18psi on my hi-flow without a problem.

Just keep in mind if you go above 14psi you more than halve the engine life.. So if you reckon its got 2 years left in it, relatively speaking.... Cut that proposionatley by your boost............ Low boost and a good setup will see you dust most big dollar cars to 100kmh....... After that let them cry to there mumma's.......

Nah, the turbo is more than up to the task. Those ones fang mate. It's just that your injectors/stock afm could be maxing out. Since the turbo flows so much more than stock, 12-13 psi on that turbo could be as much as 15-16 psi on the stock turbo.

so it should make 210-220 at that boost.

Edit: as slide said above

Ah.... what makes you think that? Engine life has been discussed, and it's never a simple formula. You could have bad luck happen like snap the cam belt, and the engine is gone.

Or if you're sitting up at the limiter all day doing burnouts/drifting, it won't last as long as a modded engine that's driven easily.

As I always believe, buy a good car, look after the engine, treat it well, and it'll look after you. By treating it well, i don't mean drive like a granny. I mean service it with good oil, and frequently. Have it tuned well. Drive hard, but don't sit at the limiter. I fang my car hard, but i take these above factors into account.

Cannot disagree more with that comment. The reliability of an engine has to do with a lot of things, boost is one of them...but i wouldnt even rate it in the top 5!

2 years tops? :)

I had my car running 17 pounds of boost all day every day for over 3 years and the engine was in top notch condition. The car had over 150,000 on it + i had standard afm and injectors making 250rwkw.

    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
