Hay, that Rolla cops it! Foot flat, hit rev limiter, go to 2nd, hit rev limiter, go to drive! I drove a GTS-X for 6 months! I am nowing driving VN 5ltr. I speed EVERYWHERE! Just lucky I think!

heeh well i got outta a 6point fine too I was tailgating an unmarked police car, 80 in a 60 zone, 80 in a 40 zone and i must admit to wearing a very short skirt that day haha

I have a radar detector but even thats not going to save you at more than 10kms over the speed limit. They just dont give enough warning.

Gotta agree with Dan and GST-T VSpec, guys very rarely get let off for anything, while a female friend of mine was left off for 120 in a 60 zone while on P's a few years back. I get busted for 5kms over the speed limit in a 100 zone. LOL

Well all this talk about fines and points... bah, got pulled over today by a cop with a radar gun on my way to work... 73km in a 60km zone, $100 fine and 2 demerit points... bah :D Least he didnt say anything about my intercooler, chopped front bar and number plate stuck to one side :P

First 12 months of having a license (in a 95 lancer)

1 point speeding (70 in a 60)

3 points speeding (90 in a 70)

2 points speeding (90 in a 60)

6 points speeding (160 in a 100) $350.00

Lost license 3 months.

3 points running a red light.

Bought skyline.

(12 months of owning my skyline)

3 points driving with a blown headlight.

2 points turining at a left turn only, without indicator.

4 points remaining.

I have lost my license a couple of times over the years but not recently. My demerit points tend to hover around 6 - 11. I tend to get got by multinova's doing 70 in a 60 zone ...you know those crazy duel carriageway 60 zones that could pass for freeways.

Anyhow ...I am convinced it all depends on how much driving you do. I do about 30,000 km a year so I guess my exposure to multinova's is greater than the average person who drives to work and stays there.

lost 12 points and licence in the first year of owning the car (92 n/a silvia) , lost licence for 3 months, and they gave me another year of p's when i got the licence back.

Lost licence roughly another year after that.

Lost 3 point during that time before they came round to get my licence, so i was down to 9 before i even started driving again.

Lost another 3 for some stupid 50kmph cr*p.

Crashed silvia in freak driving mishap at collie racetrack.

No fines whatsoever in skyline since, i think i'm a changed man.

:)

still speed though...

Damo.

    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
    • Quite right, if you make it to that pension you deserve every cent
    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
