hi mate

we use gts4 diffs which helped lower the ratio but didnt make the difference we were looking for.

cheers russ

p.s : and yeah your dead right, the reimax gears are higher grade steel replacing sintered as well.

do you race utes?

oh ok. yeah i find with mine. its nicly spaced gearing but just to tall to start with.

ie: 1st.90kph. 2nd.140kph. 3rd 185kph and 4th/5 same as factoy this is at 8000rpm

what did you find the gts4 ones did for you? im only thinking cos ive got to rebuild my rear diff anyway.

motul gearff type 2 f**ked it after 1 launch. i was using penrite limslip 85-140 for ages with out issue.

oh. yeah my work is "hi tech motorsport" we run 6 fords and 1 holden. also a supra in production sports. curantly re doing it with a propper pedal box and a bladder fuel system.

Giant, too good mate. TOO GOOD.

I've just got my carbon shaft in, stripped a lot of weight off the car (stereo, aircon, tar etc) and I'll be getting there shortly too (I hope!).

What an inspiration. Thanks for sharing the info + the vid too. You're a legend!

Is anyone in the know if Thursday's 'Round 2' of C.B. is an invite-only affair,or can us pleb's with pulled apart cars come and watch for inspiration too? I'd love some time around the cars just to soak it all in...

Too right Roy I often look at the pictures of when I first bought the car. It was a collector condition late model R32 GT-R. Such a minter and I am the sole person responsible for destroying it!!! Scares me sometimes and yes, makes me sad.

I was invited to Street car of the year, as well as Circuit Battle by the boys at Autosalon. But I declined both opportunities as I've yet to get a grip of driving the beast (I know I can't do a 1.04!!!!) I'd rather be confident of nailing a great time rather than have a bad time splattered on pages that 20,000 readers will read.

Thos interested in my build can see pics here:

 No doubt will be a nice car when finished.

LOL...also a hard car to learn how to drive fast. My golden rule, its easier to drive a slow car fast then it is a fast car fast. I have to say i have a lot of car envy with some of you ppl. The money you are able to spend on your cars...i just cant comprehend thos sorts of figures. So woudl love to get some nice goodies for my car.

    • Had a chat to Tony Mamo - he advised that looking at the graph's shape (regardless of number translation) it shouldn't be levelling off like that up top. He said it looks like the car is running a restrictor plate or something of that nature. Luckily the last dyno pull on E85 was saved to the PC - So I did a quick trace of Barometric KPA vs Intake manifold pressure, and lo and behold I see a copy of the 'waves' I was seeing on the dyno: I'm not entirely sure how to go about addressing this. It may be worth sacrificing IAT to run a more direct intake for the motor. Though packaging this could be flat out impossible given the constraints of the car. I should have removed the intake pipe to see if this made a difference but looking at this graph I now have something to potentially test in the future and think about. This one is from an old track day log in the OLD setup going through gears on track.
    • Oh, I forgot too, all the multimedia stuff captured and sold through things like people playing Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go specifically, can actually be traced all the way back to a CIA investment company too. So yep, they're watching everything. Not to mention the new stuff where they've worked out how to use WiFi signals to be able to map occupants inside of a building. That one would be something that I see being more used in public/government buildings, as you need to understand the signals when the room has no one in it first. It's not as easy as Hollywood would like you to think it is.
