Ouch - you and Brisby really are similar huh?

Hope you get it all sorted without too much drama.

lol, only in that we are both sydney boys and both have far more mouth than talent. I am far better looking than troy though.

yeah, it is not too bad. pride is dented about as much as the car. BUT I will do my best to get it semi-sorted for this wednesday. nothing like getting back on the horse that tried to kill me...

the plan is:

remove the kinked part of the exhaust (just the rear bit)

replace it with a straight piece of pipe so at least it's exiting in the right spot

try and wash off some dust (it's fcking everywhere)

get alingment checked

bleed brakes

then back out there to show it who's really boss. :)

apparently the officials get the shits when you do that :)

lol, I think they have a photo of fatz in the control tower with a "ARDC's most wanted" at the top due to previous incidents dating back a few years... dunno what their problem is. the grass grows back afterall...

bad luck mate, too bad i left just as you went back out. ive got a few photos of you going around the track. nothing flashy...

any photos you've got please put em up or send to me. it will help me remember the good times! lol.

I dont know Troy is way up there in the good looking department :D *giggles*

You will be back out there in no time :)

Did it shake you up a little? Was it scary...or was it all over in a flash?

don't worry mate.

that's nothing a good dose of "harden the fcuk up" won't fix

lol

lol

lol, don't tell troy you said that!

it didn't really shake me up too much. It was pretty scary though I guess as it was a pretty loooong slide. I lost it around I guess 140-160 and it was a very sudden spin. I then spent what seemed like forever just sliding backwards across the dirt and not really slowing down as fast as I'd like. lol. then i met the wall. the first part was over in a split second (from turn in to backwards) the slide seemed to last forever and gave me a good chance to sense the impending wall. after the love tap I just fired er 'up and drove onwards, completed half a lap and went into the pits.

haha Troy knows :D Also he can run faster then you can drive I have witnesed it lol *he will know what I mean* giggles

Far out!!!!

Lost it at 140-160km thats full on :domokun:

So do you know what you did to make that happen?

Im just happy its not that bad and your ok....I bet it was scary as at those speeds :)

here are some of the photos i took on the day. like i said, nothing spectacular and i dont have zoom on this camera so yeh.

BB, ive got a few more random ones so let me know if you want them

Thanks for posting that. it really brightened the day a bit. There is a good shot there of my coming into the hairpin with cars everywhere. I passed 5 cars on that lap! noice.

yeah, it was a nice effort. turn 10 is 4th gear, flat. It was a combination of things. rear end is not well set-up (too much swaybar and too much spring, so very stiff and very taily) basically I was pushing hard as I finally had the tyre pressures semi sorted and was catching another car at a few second a lap. it was last lap of the session, and by far my best so far so I was just pushing. I went out wider than I normaly do and turned in a little too agressively and the rear end came around far quicker than I could catch it.

so the contributing factors were

lack of rear end grip (poor rear end set-up on my part, and rear tyres not working)

pushing too hard

lack of talent

act of god

choose 2 out of 4. :domokun:

I choose:

lack of rear end grip

pushing to hard

You have loads of talent and have heaps of experience, I think and have heard that eastern creek can be a bit of a hard unforgiving track :)

But atleast you know what the contributing factors were....its just one of those random ghey things :domokun:

Rubbing is racing :D

    • Dear folks My family members have 4 different cars : Triton 2015 and Corolla 2011 and Mazda3 2012 and Hyundai Elantra 2014 Looking to buy engine oil funnel spill free What I found are are below  https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BBTTJNKX?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image&th=1 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/145553221359?srsltid=AfmBOoqYBU6Ptw0LU_bAp_k67U3qkF97HHvePkA7iHZw8vUmiwoIRaRr https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09X23TCS5?th=1 Is there a funnel with attachment that fits most cars ? Don't mind to spend for a decent quality  Thx
    • Stock ECU (or more accurately stock tune) absolutely refuses to go over 10psi and behaves like you have seen. The Nistune is the same if it is the stock tune. If the Nistune chip has been tuned, the resulting tune could be literally anything for any combination of parts. The Nistune just makes the stock ECU Tunable.
    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
    • So now we have a radiator with no attachments whatsoever. It lifts up with a particularly tight spot between the drivers side air box mount and the lower radiator outlet, but if you've got this far you will sort that too. This is the lower mounts with the rad out so you can see where the rubber bushes go, it is a straight shot upwards Done! Assembly is the reverse of disassembly, with blood less likely to be shed.
    • Right, onto the second last trick. The Air Con condenser is mounted to the front of the radiator and stays in the car when the radiator is removed. There are 2x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the condenser to the radiator, remove those The bottom of the condenser is attached to the radiator with clips. You need to lift the condenser out of those clips and clear (up, then forward). f**ked if  could work out how to do that last bit with the front bumper on. I hope you can, and you share the trick.  Bumper removal probably deserves its own thread one day once I've recovered the will to live, but basically you need to remove the wheels, front inner guard liners (clips and 10mm headed bolts), the self tapper between the guard and the bumper at the rearmost point of the bumper (same as an R32 that bit), any remaining clips at the top/front of the grill, an absolute bastard design with a plate that holds the top of the bumper above the headlight each side (only 1 bolt which is tricky to get to, but the plate catches 2 places on the bumper and must be removed....carefully!) and push clips between the bumper and guard under the headlight. If you've done all that you will be faced with wiring for the fog lights on both sides and in ADM Q50 RS at least, 4 nasty tight plugs on the driver's side for the ADAS stuff. So, the clips at the bottom look like this on drivers side (looking from the front) And on the passenger side (also from the front), you can see this one is already out Clearance on both of these are super tight; the condenser needs to move up but the upper rad support mount prevents that, and the radiator can't move down far because it is (rubber) mounted. Once you achieve the impossible and drop the condenser off those mounts so it does not stop the rad moving, you are good to go
