nothing annoys me more than people who buy such cars and hide em/never drive em. if you can afford these 3 you can afford to keep em on the road

all in black!

but hey its free to dream :D

Edited by R-SPEC

i think i'd go.....

1. Porsche GT3 RS

2. BMW e40 m5...have always loved them

3. MCR R34 GTR...for shizzle my nizzle

and i'd park them in the mansion in brighton, let my supermodel wife wash them in her bikini while the mistress feeds me grapes...

oooooh yeaaahhhhh

1. Porsche 997 GT3RS

2. R34 GTR V-Spec II

3. Mitsubishi Pajero (I love 4wding in the dunes and scrub in outback NSW.) with maximum 4wd mods. And big Air Con and tow bar in case the other two need a lift.

Ok Here is my list.

The daily driver / family / trip to the snow car. Audi RS4 Avant

article_4294-img_0.jpg

The weekend car for trips to Buxton. Ferrari 599 GTB (Hamann version if we are allowed to be stupid)

35984.jpg

Car 3 is my track car. If this is allowed to break the rules then I'd get a Koenigsegg CCX.

I love the in car adjustability of ride height, damper and roll bars. It is just a purpose built speed machine but it isn't sanitised.

ccx.jpg

If that is not allowed I'd take a 997 GT3RS right now.

Porsche would do well out of us

It's funny - before working here, I had never driven a Porsche. Now I don't know I ever lived without one.

The SPORT button on the GT3 is worth all the Vortex Generators in the world!

Now to push the boss into getting a black RS!

And Snowy - am off en Francais as of Friday. RS4-goodness when I get back :(

Get one, take me for a spin and I'll love you forever.

You're off to Le Mans I take it? Might see ya there mate >_<

Well here is mine:

Bugatti Veyron (how can you say no to the fastest most expensive production car in the world):

bugatti-eb-164-veyron.jpg

Nissan Skyline R34 GTR Z-Tune, I love skylines, so I can't pass up the best one ever built:

The soon to be released Audi RS6 (with lamborghini V10 that has been twin-turbo charged), something cruisy for day to day:

n.b - (unoffical photo)

rs6.jpg

That would be a sweet garage.

Then with my own money, I would buy (once it comes out) a VE SS-V ute in white, dumped on its arse with 20" bbs rims and chev badges...... dont ask, I just like them!.... And a 32 GTR V-SpecII.... and ...... and.........

2. BMW e40 m5...have always loved them

Do you mean the E34, E39 or E60 M5? Only reason why I ask is that I have an E39 M5 (Imola Red/Caramel), that your more than welcome to have a drive of if you've not driven one before?

As for my list....

1) Aerial Atom 2-300

ariel_atom_clarkson_video.jpg ... love that photo... instant facelift

2) Ascari KZ1

2006_Ascari_KZ1_%20side.jpg

3) BMW X5 3.0 Diesel

bmw-x5-1.jpg

atom: super sounding, light as buggery, makes it the ultimate track toy... even Jeremy Clarkson liked it...

ascari: ... has people saying.. its a what????.... and it has the same S62 that my car has.. 1:20 around the TG test track (10th fastest) is nothing to sneeze at.

X5: Great for lugging prams, and all manner of child related paraphanalia.

    • That was the first session so not a lot to take from the day. It was low 20s ambient and the coolant had got to 110 (and obviously had some pressure!) so that still needs to be addressed. I haven't downloaded the data yet but will. I had refilled the auto trans with Redline DT6 because it claimed the best viscosity I could find at 100o. It wasn't really long enough to get a good feel for that; while the trans got to 100o in the session it still wasn't shifting crisply as I hoped. I think I'll try a few more sessions before judging. No steering motor overheat but I'd hope not in only 1 session! But finally the suspension; it was night and day over the standard stuff and the car was a couple of seconds quicker on the same crappy tyres, which is a huge difference. I'll stick with that and get some sway bars and a mechanical diff sorted too and see how that all goes together
    • I guess it’s partially a compromise of how my car is used, wanting to be able to switch from drift to grip with track side on-car adjustment. Also partially with the way the knuckles are set there is more static camber but less dynamic camber gain.
    • OK, so update from the track day on Friday It was a classic "an unfortunate series of events'. There were a few cars around and when i checked my mirror coming out of the fish hook I notice some smoke from the rear of mine. Looked again and it was getting much worse, I figured I'd blown a turbo or something to got off it and pulled off the racing line. However.... since it is a left hairpin into a right kink, I was on the inside of the next corner. There was a car passing me on the left and a big drop off over the ripple strip on the right......and someone had knocked the witch's hat that was on the apex about 1m onto the track. So, between those 3, I decided to mow down the cone and not damage my car/the other car. Right choice, but surprising result.  The car decided the cone was a small pedestrian so it blew the rear bonnet hinges up to protect their head in the upcoming person to car impact....I didn't see that coming and like an airbag deployment it happened super fast. Straight into the pits from there, everything was driving fine but it became clear it was a coolant leak not smoke, it was billowing up onto the windscreen. Onto the trailer and home. I'll do a separate thread about the repair (once I work out what it is ), but the immediate problem was the bonnet wouldn't open because the front was pinched onto the front bar and would not release. Ultimately we unbolted the hinge from the bonnet, pulled it back a little and it released from the front OK. "There's your problem", the top radiator hose had popped off at the radiator.
    • Yeah that looks like great caster, but I'd suggest trying less front camber some time and seeing if it helps with braking without reducing mid corner speed too much
    • I ended up setting the rear 5mm higher than normal to give some clearance.  My plan is to run the least camber I can in the rear which I think with the extra width is going to need to be -1.75 to -2.00° just to get clearance.  Guards have been rolled and pulled as much as they can/I would be wanting to.  front has the Acostal knuckle with the KPI change and the drop etc. So should be okay with the existing settings I have run with AR1s etc Front: Toe total -2mm(1mm out each side) Caster +7.5° Camber -3.8° Ackerman +15°
