lol..I think he meant $3000 not $300...but if u did mean $300...shame on u! gl with the sale...:(

would these wheels fit on a r32 gtr v spec

??

No, they are both the wrong offset and have stagered size fron to rear. I got all excited about some new wheels too

They do indeed fit the GT-R's guys

They have Dual Offset - One for the new Nissans (V35 Skyline, 350z) and one for the older Nissans (Skylines, GT-R's, etc).

And since when cant you fit staggered wheels?

Mate,

I spoke to JapLink on Parramatta Road today (the place that I got the mags from) they confirmed that they do fit the R32 GT-R's so if you're interested, let me know quick as Im expecting a call from another guy in the next few days.

offset isn't stud pattern, the offset is the +15 , +22 etc...

GTR's need to have same sized tyres (so usually same sized wheels) or it messes with the ATTESA....

Very nice wheels, would look hot on a white car!

With that point above.

So you can't have different size Overall Diameter with tyres?

Like i've got a set of 285 x 30 x 18 OD 629 for the Rear

and 265 x 35 x 18 OD 643 for the front.

Will that affect anything?

OK cool well Im no wheel or tyre expert Im just going on what I've been told by the head mechanic honcho at JapLink (who really seems to know his stuff), they deal with everything from R32's to V35's everyday and he seem to think they would fit any GTR no probs.

If anyone wants the mags I suggest they speak to a performance shop or a tyre shop that deals with lots of Skylines first and as I mentioned you're welcome to try and fit the mags on the hubs before you buy them of course.

Interesting topic none the less.

Hey mate,

Have you fitted these on your V35? do they fit?

  • 2 weeks later...

no they wont mate.

firstly the guy at japlink is just plain wrong. there is no such thing as dual offset wheels. these are the wrong offset for GTR. add to that they are staggered width which means that it will be almost impossible to match front and rear tyre diameter which will cause problems with the GTR AWD system.

They obviously will fit a V35 very well, and I would say they will fit a 350Z too.

and in the thread you linked it clearly shows they wont fit other skylines properly.

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
    • Yeah, I guess its pretty easy to get to if this doesn't work. Just wait till next oil change and pull it out. I am going to have to do the oil pan gasket soon and thought I'd just replace it while I was there.  Thanks
    • All that matters is you're safe and you were able to type that post. Hopefully heaps of parts you can recover for the next shell.
