so how did it go?

hahaha yeah that was an awesome day. My car was out of action, so MattR and I sat up in the commentary box doing stupid commentating and getting drunk :(

That is by far the best way to do it. Works out to under $100 per person, and you get to do shitloads of runs all day long. We ran out of cars to run and finished early even that day. And cars like Munro's race car and the GT S15 and R34 could come out for some test and tune. Only drawback on those organised type days is it is always only 1 lane - so you can't actually race other cars - which sucks ass, as that is half the fun IMHO.

I vote we organise an inter-club grudge match at a street meet when the track reopens - so we can challenge other cars and whip their asses. Especially the Evo guys who like to think their little Mitsi's are better than Skylines ROFL

1 lane would suck very much, just like doing the tango my yourself :laughing-smiley-014:

and yes, dragging against other clubs would be more fun, LS1, evo.. ooo

heaps, its the clutches you go through if you launch properly ...

got myself a sexy nismo twin plate, so it should hold

damn i hope its going to be happening, cant wait

Brad Fox from adelaide clutch services says the twins dont last that long they just hold more power but the actual ceramic on the clutch plates is alot thiner but theres 2 plates with more pressure thats why they hold more power

Xtreme's single's don't last all that long.. 30-40,000km's before I started to notice mine slipping.

It managed 60,000km's before it was completely stuffed and I don't give it a hard time at all. I don't ride it and treat it the way a ceramic should.

Bl4ck32's OS Giken twin had as much usable meat as my xtreme 9 puk. Maybe the aussy brand twins are not all that crash hot in the longevity department?

hahahah lol - in my S15 I did 85,000km before I sold it - the stock clutch lasted 40,000km (then I did upgrades to 200rwkw), next the single plate Exedy lasted 15,000km, next a twin plate Exedy lasted 15,000km (and was absolutely horrible to drive), and lastly the extra heavy duty single plate organic Exedy was pretty much rooted when I sold the car.

my misses will smoke you all.....

na it will be great if they get everyone off anzacs.

200kmph in a 60 zone isnt recomended, yet all the comodore drivers still persist in trying to proove there worth.

bring on the sau vs the rest drag comp.

Kristy will have some slicks on ready to go.

lol... She may smoke me but she won't smoke my missus.

Julies keen on giving it a run; she's even keen on railing it around mallala some time. :P

I was just speaking to Todd at Outlaw speed shop. Drag's won't be happening till AT LEAST next year. This was from a guy who spoke to the Manager of the track I believe. I asked if delays were still over the court case and not spending money, and aparently it is no longer the ownership court case that is causing NO money to be spent, but Bob Jane's divorce procedings. Bob has sweet FA money, and she wants half, so this is causing him to spend nothing on anywhere, as he may now lose them to his wife or have to sell them.

So there you go, rhumor mill worked overtime again :D

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
