lolz... so what if im on my L'z...

i need something to learn on don't i???

plus i really want the car...

im also stuck on a colour to go for...

and well price for insurance doesn't really bother me...

im currently saving up..

and well i dunno.. u reckon go for insurance first or mods to the car first???

insurance is about 5k's for me. For you maybe double that.

Of course insurance first. If your something does happen to your car you'll cry cause all you have is a wreck.

hehe.. did a rough quote on NRMA and it came up to.......

$31,160.69

I could buy another R32 GTR!!! :bahaha:

Its alot of money. If you are rich or your parents are rich, lucky you, go for it. Don't get stuck on a colour, buy any colour and have it resprayed in the colour of your choice, $3k odd for a respray isnt anything if you've got the money :P

me... saved up..

hrmz.. intersting question

lolz well it doesn't really matter cause im gettin the car for my 17th b day but not recievin til afta hsc u know...

study reason's etc... well yea...

im startin to look arnd now though so i find one i realli want....

and yea..

insurance should come first.... omg but i need to find the car first!!

r33 gtr, hey sounds great, dont listen to everyone saying you shouldnt get it, first car etc, as long as you can drive it n look after it, go for it.

insurance is a big issue, and get a quote first. I had serious trouble getting insurance for my stock r33 gts-t. Thus why I only have a gts-t, noone would insure me in a gtr.

But I would love to have your job, $7k is a pain in the ass for me to save up

If your sane which it's obvious your not id go for a N/A for your first car to get used to it. And then when you got more experience move on to the turbo,i'm sure alot of ppl on here would agree with me.Saves seeing another beautiful car getting ****ed up my sheer in experience.

Each to their own, if you can afford the car and the insurance, great, more power to you.

Who ever blows 7k of as easy to save up must have rich parents.

You shouldnt be-grudge people because they fortunate enough to have money (by whatever means... legal of course)

I should have listened to my grandmother and continued to play the piano... damn dads and their sport!!!

    • forgot to mention that when it does this it does not kill the engine, but I have not kept the pedal down long enough to let it, as I see no reason to beat up on it as its got to be something simple, small and dumb causing this.  And as soon as I let off pedal, the engine returns to its normal super smooth operation and rpms re-stabilize quickly, once below 4k.
    • neither stumble or cut really seem to be an appropriate term....hard to explain its like a rev limiter but at 4k, but it violently shakes engine and entire vehicle as the rpms will not rise over 4k, even with slow acceleration. as soon as it hits 4k, it sounds like entire spark is lost entirely. plugs were 1.1 which I used as such, but later put in new plugs gapped down to .8 changed back after issue arose when I replaced the coils, still does it with either plug gap...damn and it was all running so good.
    • Oh how times have changed! I actually lean it out relative to my water/methanol injector duty cycle. The methanol adds a lot of fueling and you can then lean it out even more due to reduced knock.
    • Yeah my thoughts are the same, a well thought out WMI setup, would be slightly ahead of just straight E85 and you're also chemically intercooling the charged air, dropping it even further. This is why you need to add so much more fuel as soon as you spray. I remember someone taking me through their set up before (Dennis, has a R33, lives around Cabramatta - no idea if he's still around on this forum). He would target AFR 10:1 on 98, then as WMI ramped on, AFR would lean back up to 11:1. Amazingly, he did this all through his PowerFC, a relay to cut power to his EBC solenoid if there was not enough line pressure on his WMI kit. And of course, if there wasn't any boost made above gate pressure, you wouldn't be accessing the load cells with heaps of timing for WMI. One downside to that rudimentary setup, once the WMI came on, the EBC would unleash the dragon, and of course all the timing. Tyres would fry lol.
    • Shimmed or shimless, still solid, no hydraulic pump up stuff.
