And finally I blew my front diff up on the 1st competative day over west and some boys put their hands up to help fix the car and when the garage was opened inside there was these 2 little toys. (Who knew there were so many R35's in Perth)

And super-cool spotting Snows. That's up there with the Ascari Ecosse (one of my QLD customers has one - 1 of only 9) as a ludicrously rare car to spot, not just in Aus but world-wide.

Big D - Pop in and visit Crazy Howard, he has a Mangusta in his shop and there are a few Longchamps around in Melbourne (I have seen 2x coupes and a spyder).

i know this isnt super... not even closely... but i was under the impression they werent released until the end of the year. I saw (about 3 months ago... didnt realise they werent released yet) one of those Cadillac CTS sedans in Endeavour Hills.

theyre actually quite nice. Also spotted this on ebay... thought it was quite a nice price http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Other-Makes...1QQcmdZViewItem

Geezus Audi are serious about attacking Porches market sector aren't they?

Good to see though. Saw my first on the GC yesterday with ISMINE plates. Very low and wide hipped. Makes it a very serious looking car.

So how was the drive Snowy? We had Mark and Russ show up at our recent Nissan Track day a couple of weeks back with the R35. I didn't see it run as I was in the same session that Russ took it on the paper clip and he pulled a 57s on the Sprint layout, with 4 wet corners a 1, 2, 4 and 5, and 1 inch of lying water between 3-4, on standard factory rubber. I think I'll have to hock the 40ft yacht off and get one. BTW this old cripple could only manage 1.01s in the same session.

Jeff we timed 2 laps - did a 1.50.0 and a 1.50.2. Apparently Christian Murchisan did a high 1.48 earlier in the week.

Not bad for a production car on street rubber (Pirelli P Zero). I sure as hell was impressed. Not to mention I did 40 laps in 2hrs and the car was still perfect at the end (brakes fine, water 90degs and oil 100degs)

FYI Christian did some hot laps in the RS4 which we timed at 1.55.2 - so the R8 is considerably quicker.

    • That looks good, but I think you're going to need much beefier side skirts now.
    • They are daft and there's a reason it never caught on. Steering feel? We don't need no stinking steering feel!
    • I gotta pull you up on this. It's driving me crazy. A shutter is something that closes, like over a window or in a cmera. The word you want is shudder. That LSD is clearly f**ked. Take it to a diff shop and get it disassembled and examined by an expert. YOu might have plates welded together or something equally crazy.
    • Define "starting to fail". Wy not just rebuild them?
    • Check the Nistune doco. There are a few assumptions being made here that might not be valid. I will list the things that occur to me: Base map. Base map for what? Base map for Z32? Then the cranking pulse width is probably wrong for an RB25. The extra 500cc of capacity might well be enough to prevent it from catching. Base map for RB25? I don't think you can load one of those into a Z32. You have to just make the settings correct for an RB25 in the Z32 base map. That is either K or the TIM to get the pulsewidth right. Loom. You bought a loom for an RB. And you plugged it into a Z32 ECU. Did you make sure that any iwre differences were swapped. From memory, there's at least a couple. And as per the others, I would suggest making sure that the fuel pressure is correct while cranking and that the injectors are actually flowing as expected. They really must come out and go on the bench, unless you do find that you have messed up as per above points. I would also suggest watching in Nistune to make sure that everything is reading correctly. That the correct binary flags are raised at the right time (like the crank signal), that there's no stupid values in K or TIM. That you have not got mismatched firmware for the ECU and/or a wrong image loaded.
