dont see a 626 everyday that someone has put time and money into it, and stuck with what they have and built on it....

I've never seen a modified Lada in oz either, but I wouldn't be interested in it. I can definitely appreciate the amount of work an owner has to put in to modify a non-popular choice of vehicle, god knows I spent years researching and saving up to twin turbo my old 3L Magna, but that doesn't mean it's a good car. And I agree that a modded 626 definitely is not something you see every day.
