Well its not long now till the Vic leg of the Dutton Rally!

The event is based in and around Central Victoria (Shepparton and Winton) but makes it's way back to town on the Sunday for events at Essendon Airport and Sandown Racecourse.

This year i believe we have 5 teams!! if there is more from vic let us know!

Snowy and Blaise in Smaug #34

Thompson and Adz in the 33 - #38

Troy and Juz in the silver bullet - (mr & mrs spin-gate)

Ryan and Jarrod in the Sil80 #31

James and Richard in the baby Aston

Brisby will no doubt be entering, he just needs a co-driver. (If you know the front from the back of a car and your liver works ok you may be in with a chance!)

With just over 4 weeks to go and the money tree drying up fast, its time to make redicuous beer bets to get us in the mood!...

Hope to see the Sau Cheer Squad out there, we seemed to have the biggest support group last year, lets do it again!

I cant really call it team 32 anymore when there is only me >_< But, i have a few lines in the water, and around Monday may call to see that if i enter i can be pulled in the first group with you guys.

Team 32 was far too talented for the likes of me.

The Aston has a button marked 'do rather well' - right next to the martini holder - no skill required.

But yes - Richard and I will be there again. Looking forward to it :D

We've donated the Hummer to Mossy as the official support vehicle - and have the Aston booked to do it... but Richard is toying with the idea of entering in the Arnage. A 6.75L twin turbo land yacht - cones ahoy!

Of all the cars you have access to that is the most stupid one with the exception of the one you've given to Mossy. Was Tim that pissed with you winning a trophy in NSW that he really wants to make sure you don't win another one? Doesn't he realise the best way to make sure you don't win one is to say give you the GT3 where the competition will be so high you'll get your ass kicked :D

Anyways - the Vic event schedule has been released. Pretty similar to last year except they now reckon we'll run the events at Winton twice rather than once (If we do it'll be a LONG day) and we no longer do the Essendon Carpark (which sucks but I can understand why) - so all cars all day Sunday at Sandown with apparently another new Auto-test thrown in somewhere.

I suppose we are just unlucky that tracks are lined with armco. If it was just trees we would be fine. I mean, if there were trees around the perimeter of a track some would be in real trouble :(

Just got an email...there are still vacancies. Bought my 3rd Brembo brake setup last night complete with rears. So car could be ready, just need Ray, Jack or Riverdance to say the word. Gettign there will be the hard bit. beating the Spinning Scotsman and Poof the Smoking Dragon will be the easy part! :D

Well Brisby the one thing I can say is I won't be silly enough to make any 58-0 bets this year (or for this year it'll be 66-0).

The new class structure means you could have a lot of fun if you made it. Infact I reckon you'd be a damn good show for not only winning Class RSB but for possible outright handicap honours.

Infact I'd give you a better chance of bringing home some silverware than a certain other white car thats entering....

your all lucky b***ards... Troy less talkin more drivin

Jarrod you have been driving too many exotics dude, you won't know what to do when you get into the Sil... probably just cruise round the cones at 5km/h with the windows down, sunnies on, fat arming it, reving it out in neutral haha :O

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
