I think you need to consider the effort and cost of these days.

Considering it costs $110 for the normal day

Then you get additionally for the $40:

1. An organised day
   
2. Official timing (big costs for this)
   
3. Ambulance and flag marshal
   
4. Derecks guidance where requested
   
5. A sense of competition with prizes/trophy's and tangible bragging rights
   
6. The possibility of any profit going to the club

No need for dedicated track tyres, but it does help :-)

It will likely be a monday at this stage as every Friday is booked out until June. Weekend makes the cost unjustified.

Yes, it is good value for a timed event... timing is pretty expensive and a lot more fun trying to PB each time.

I might be interested. I brought my Supra down to Wakefield a couple of weeks ago and ran a 1:16 in pouring rain. Would like to see what it can do on a dry track and semi slicks.
