R33Turbo
Hey guys, im looking for the best car security alarm & immobiliser system to fit in my GTT R34. Because of my R33 S2 being stolen few weeks ago, im very serious about this security thing now. I wouldn't mind spending up to about $1000 on this, so please advise me of the best alarm system and where to get it installed for a proper job. I was looking at a M80 Mongoose product, which seemed to of received alot of compliments. What do you guys put in and who does it for you? R33Turbo
ive actually decided on going for the Mongoose M80G, as ive researched that no one has ever heard of their cars being stolen with a mongoose alarm on it. Paradizzle
ive actually decided on going for the Mongoose M80G, as ive researched that no one has ever heard of their cars being stolen with a mongoose alarm on it. It’s not necessarily the alarm... who and how it was installed will have more bearing on how theft proof the car is. Hell Fire
^^ As Chris and Para said, price of the alarm usually determines features, but a great alarm installed badly is still a bad security system. DRD-00F
I like how you can be really serious, yet limit yourself at only a thousand dollars... Anyway, hope it works well for you Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/188186-need-best-car-security-system/#findComment-3396487 Share on other sites
R33Turbo
Well mate im not a very rich boy like other people and also i thought spending about 1 gran is probably more than enough to get a 25k car secured. If it was a 50k GTR R34, then its different story... Adelaideprosound
Just get it over and done with and get a QUICKTRAK system installed, with full live monitoring. Car goes missing, you make a phone call, head office shuts the car down by sending a code to the Quiktrak system and then they call the cops to the exact position of your vehicle. Howie
I'd second quicktrak, at least you're 99.9% guaranteed your car will be found. Although a thief with a gps and cellphone blocker would make quick work out of that system if they were keen enough. Chris Rogers
Howie, google spread spectrum radio - that will give you some idea how quicktrak works. your idea will slow a few of them down but not that one. I have $35m of ferries insured with that system with 3 more to go (contract completes 2009.) so its a VERY reliable system. APS, i see you are talking to gary. top bloke.
