thats not entrily true there is a mod you can do

GWW can bench test it i imagine most other workshops can too

ive booked the car in for dyno day @ grahm wests today.

the misfiring is not as bad anymore, drove the car to uni and back, then for another test run and seems ok. there's a split second of misfire but shouldn't be too much of a problem. Ill be getting the silicone insulator on the coils over the weekend and my afm cleaned up.

when i get my exhaust done ill look in to getting a toshi map, or an safc... don't want to spend thousands if all i'm after is not too much more power than its already making. don't want the car for straight line speed, want response and a steady power band.

good read, SK offers some bang up advice.

this is the link you lot are after http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ca...html&st=20#

So i have read up quite a bit on the use of a catch can today, and i came to the conclusion that its only good if the catch can is somehow vented, which is not legal. Another conclusion is that my setup is doing sweet f**k all, and am considering selling my catch can to plan for the future. 70 bucks, takers :P

At work today thinking about next yr. Wondering if i should save up spend 10k on a engine or spend a month holidaying in Japan.

hmm hard choices.

+1 Japan, been there twice and look forward to another visit sometime in the future.

I have sacrificed my washer bottle for intercooler piping. What else will fit in that section? Having a daily requires me to use it from time to time when rain dries on the windscreen.

my mate can fabricate ya a washer bottle if ya want one there

yes please!

have to work out a time when he's free, and he can look at the space ya got. does his fabrication work outta his dad's shed at virginia (where my cars are being stored, and is the same guy who made my trailer)

I would also like a washer bottle that fits in despite my ic piping. I assume if Damo got one made up it would fit my car too? I can supply my oem washer bottle motor if he wants to integrate it (which would be preferable).

I had to lol

After Gates Timing Belt + Tensioner Kit for RB26 before Friday.... new only... pst me if you got one

-D

is that like

[quiet voice]pst hey buddy i got a gates belt if you want it (looks around) going cheap (looks around)[/quiet voice]

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
