nah Damo - I am after 18"s. And those rims are insanely differently offset - the difference between 8" +37 and 9" +28 is 21mm. the fronts are not offset enough and the rears are TOO offset.

My perfect offsets are:

18 x 8 +25-+28

18 x 8.5 +31-+34

18 x 9 +37-+40

18 x 9.5 +44-+47

All of those sizes leave the wheels between 33mm and 30mm wider track than stock, and fill the guards nicely without rubbing or needing rolling. I am also keen on same width wheels front to rear (which is how the car comes stock), so I can rotate tyres properly. I am sick of staggered offsets.

Thanks heaps for the heads-up Chad - that price is amazing - but they just don't do much for me I'm afraid. Did a mock-up of them - what do you think? Plain is my thought. Especially compared with polished CE28Ns, or even the polished lip black ones I posted earlier.

Here's My suggestions,

Lenso Type M

They need to be big 18-19, and the car will need to be lowered. But they will look TOUGH. and they are cheap and can be bought individually if one of them gets damaged.

I've got slotted RDA's. I havent noticed much rotor wear at this stage as I've only gone through one set of the QFM's so far. But the disks still feel like new so i'm guessing rotor wear would be very little. I got 2 track days and a bit of street driving out of the pads so very happy with them.

Thanks for the info', Chad.

I'm running RDA slotted rotors too.

I considered the Lenso Type M, they're a good looking rim. In the end though, no dish = no dice :) I have a feeling Andrew will agree.

i actually approve of those wheels...

Well for the first course we had the following:

3 slices of toasted bread

3 eggs, sunny side up

250grams of bacon

smokey bbq sauce

So, double decker b&e toasted sandwich packed with all the good stuff.

This was followed by half a dozen Toohey Extra Dry Platinum, various spatterings of Jim Beam Black, Johnny Black, Jim Beam Single Barrel, Jack Daniels, Jamesons 12 y/o, Johnny Walker Green, Apple Tequila (direct from Tijuana), Amaretto (direct from Tijuana), Giesen Sauvignon Blanc, Woodstock Botrytis, Seppelts Gewurtstraminer, and finished off with some of my current fave red Pertaringa Understudy Cabernet Petit Verdot.

Various 8 ball games ensued.

2nd course consisted of:

2 slices of toasted bread

1.5 eggs well done

150grams of bacon

smokey bbq sauce

Followed by various Wii games.

Result = win :)

haha, brilliant way to kill a day. you certainly know how to make a good b&e. shall have to do it again.

I was going to put these on my car before the lmgt4's came up for sale.... I like the copper bronze with machined lip :)

well its a NSW cop thing not a SAPOL thing, not that it really makes a difference i guess?

i got soooo much housework to do today :)

andrew, a vid relevant to you;

reason it sounds so agricultural at idle is the 3.5" unmuffled exhaust following the y pipe...

Went on a RCK cruise last night with a mate and lets just say :)

What would you do something silly like that for? :)

Sigh... way to piss away our money on a pointless "show car" that will have no effect what-so-ever :)

Well ... its got the attention of NS.com, and now its getting our attention. I say good on them. Everyone's crying about the cops needing to be properly educated and trained ... but they can't spend a cent or they're accused of blowing tax payers money. Damned if they do, damned if they don't. Fords are cheap anyway :) Shows a bit of humour.

maybe krispycream and starbucks could sponsor it..instead of taxpayers ???? bet it was built on sunday overtime pay as well ???

    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
    • There's not a great deal to report here .... except ...... FOR .... LSD!!!  I bought a Quaife LSD from the UK and shipped it here .... Wish I'd just bought locally cause the shipping and duty was $700! But there were so many diffs used in the E90s I just wanted to be absolutely certain I was getting the right one so I spoke with a supplier in the UK who builds race cars and they have heaps of experience with the E90s.  I pulled the diff out which was seriously awesome - I've never done anything like that before, I must have watched 1000 videos on YT about it as well as consulting the Bentley manual. It was super easy in the end. The diff was delivered to the awesome folks at Hornsby Diffs and will be back in a few weeks. I also replaced the diff bushings with some Nolathane ones.  Really looking forward to getting it back and getting back to the track or even the skidpan.
    • yeah... the 13kg/mm springs weren't always in there, I had 10kg/mm but doing a few SMSP commanded heavier front springs. It's so good now going into T1 and T2, just need more seat time and real tyres.
