Not that i can afford 60-70k for a car, but if the opportunity came up to get a lease vehicle or company car.... 350Z are nice but just lacking that something for the money...i cant see the value in STI/EVOs so that leaves you with a Monaro (well by my pickings anyway)

This is the first attainable car that has come along for a while that i want...maybe even must have ;)

I have heard there are mules getting around Oz right now and will be available RHD

Thats goin to be the new camaro in america and theyre thinking of bringing it here and naming it a monaro.

Its not a VE SS.. i think it uses the same chassis but its got a 7 litre in it..i think its called the LS7.

but yer they look tough as but i dont think it looks like a monaro but definately a camaro.

Well i read there are a few on OZ at the moment undergoing driveline development...and that they will be avaiable RHD and to the Australian market. Im keen to see the pricing of them, im expecting it to be about the price of a 350Z since that its main competition in the states :(

holden are already taking deposits for them...

my uncle wants to get and and so does his mate so they have both put down there deposit and received a ticket for it (not sure if this just means they get first dibs on the car or if they get to order it in there choice of finish)

the convertable is porn!

They'll have a range of engines no doubt, including the new 6.3L. They are deeloping a successor to the LS7, reported to have 600hp.

I like the new Dodge Challenger too.

hmmm the misses is seriously pushing me for a stang.. but @ 40k yank $$$ there probably will not be any competition... unless they end up similarly priced oz $$ im shit out of luck... could try and push the misses toward it but highly doubtful!.

dont be too surprised when you find out it drives like a piece of crap, the interior feels like cheap shit, and besides the awesome look, you're left with a typical amercian heap of junk.

thats all i'd expect from them anyway.

    • neither stumble or cut really seem to be an appropriate term....hard to explain its like a rev limiter but at 4k, but it violently shakes engine and entire vehicle as the rpms will not rise over 4k, even with slow acceleration. as soon as it hits 4k, it sounds like entire spark is lost entirely. plugs were 1.1 which I used as such, but later put in new plugs gapped down to .8 changed back after issue arose when I replaced the coils, still does it with either plug gap...damn and it was all running so good.
    • Oh how times have changed! I actually lean it out relative to my water/methanol injector duty cycle. The methanol adds a lot of fueling and you can then lean it out even more due to reduced knock.
    • Yeah my thoughts are the same, a well thought out WMI setup, would be slightly ahead of just straight E85 and you're also chemically intercooling the charged air, dropping it even further. This is why you need to add so much more fuel as soon as you spray. I remember someone taking me through their set up before (Dennis, has a R33, lives around Cabramatta - no idea if he's still around on this forum). He would target AFR 10:1 on 98, then as WMI ramped on, AFR would lean back up to 11:1. Amazingly, he did this all through his PowerFC, a relay to cut power to his EBC solenoid if there was not enough line pressure on his WMI kit. And of course, if there wasn't any boost made above gate pressure, you wouldn't be accessing the load cells with heaps of timing for WMI. One downside to that rudimentary setup, once the WMI came on, the EBC would unleash the dragon, and of course all the timing. Tyres would fry lol.
    • Shimmed or shimless, still solid, no hydraulic pump up stuff.
    • They have said food will be limited. Mainly meat pies and sausage rolls from memory. But they have a coffee van!
