the guys at img motors in sydney told me they should have a manual version in the country for emissions testing as early as november, if they go ahead with that does that mean the manuals will be open slather for importing/compliancing?

I was quoted roughly 48K for a 4.5 grade auction car with 5K on the clock (2007 model, tiptronic) driveaway. That was when the Yen was 80 to our dollar.

As soon as the Yen gets back up into the 90s I am importing one for sure!

I priced a dash panel for a honda yesterday at 33.600 and that before freight and taxes came out to $502 ex tokyo.

Saw quite a few of them (sedan and coupe) in the 'States a couple of weeks ago: very tempted to sell my V35s when the manuals are available: they are a lovely car in the flesh!
