padey
Does anyone know the difference between the stage 1,2 and 3 2.8L HKS kits, apart from the potential power outputs. I'm not up to speed on my Japanese... cheers, Padey Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/193302-hks-28l-kit-question/ Share on other sites

Piggaz
Step 1 just has forged pistons without the coatings. Step 2 has - a nickel plated & piston surface has a final molybdenum coating. Step 3 has - nickel plated & piston surface has a final molybdenum coating as well as 22 mm pins All cranks are full counter weighted. PM-R33
Off of nengun they vary in price from about $5500-$6500 depending on what size bore you want (86.5mm-87.5mm) and wether you want cooling channels. This includes forged pistons, rods, counter crank and oil jet spacers. Good price for this kit if you ask me and not many people do it on the RB25's, so it's something a bit different then going the RB30 route. I wouldn't mind doing it one day Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/193302-hks-28l-kit-question/#findComment-3470083 Share on other sites
