Man, some people actually like their car like that... It's like a certain style... that no-one digs. Anyway 20s are illegal, are probably bumpy as, and are most likely going to be ugly.

FYI, that big wheel trend came from racecars which needed

bigger rims to clear the huge brakes.

2 piece rims with black inners and polished outers trend from

the US, seems to be another popular trend.

Here's an example of an orange painted American car with rims that have the

black inners and polished outers -

Aint nothing wrong with widebodys :(

That being said, Ya'll need to quit with all the BS, he asked for advice on issues with 20's. If you dont like the idea shut up and move on end of story.

20's can be bumpy, no more so however than a "race" setup that all the hardcore "jap" fans are going for.

There are pros and cons to everything, i dont mind the right set of 20's on a skyline and before any of you numbingly single minded troopers speak up i have Volk GTV's on mine and am NOT biased to any particular style. If ya like it.... do it, something tells me hes not goin to miss the tiny amount of performance lost with larger wheels.

Could be wrong though.

Enjoy.

ps. Ali-Turko, 2GU UP is entitles to his opinion as are you, HOWEVER it was NOT requested, he simply wanted advice on how to make a 20" Rim fit not whether or not it takes your fancy.

Happy New Year Everyone, Obviously the bull@%#$ that SAU seems to be renowned for is ever present and strong in 2008 well done.

iv got 20's with dish on front and different dish on back. Back with fatter tyres, 225's front, with 245's back. no rubbing on guards.

i like both the 20 inch look and the deep dish jap rims look, thats why i also have a set of 17" volk racing rims with 245 front and 255's back... :(

20"s are only cool when they're chrome with spinning centres and plenty of neons to set the whole mobile disco ball effect off.

Everytime you stop the crowds will gather to yell woot woot!! then the party will commence.

scientifically speaking : woot woot = 1/2 rim size x (neon glo + airbrushed graphix)

PS spinners have nothing to do with it.

lol thats pretty ghey

I tihnk 20's will suit the car aslong as they are the right style not over the top and got some dish :(...it can be done and end up looking madd or not so great....what sort of 20's you thinking of putting on?

hope it goes well

Here's some deep dish 20 inch old school wire type wheels -

Or what about these wheels from Japan for a classy look -

Can go over the top with 30 inch rims, like in this link below -

Here's what that type of car with 30 inch rims looks like when in motion -

Or like this H2 Hummer with 2 piece blue inner and polished outer

30 inch rims -

Maybe another new trend, 40 inch rims -

Hi Guys

Just a thought about branded rims available, i notice Breytons or Carllson rims looks really nice on Continental car like the Mercs or BMW. Are the offset the same to fit an R34 GTT since they also hv 5 lug. Notice the Lexus do share the same sets as the conti's though Wald is a Jap brand. http://www.wald.co.jp/news/back/200706/sab/s33c_2/index.html

Appreciate feedback.

    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
