GRRR God dammit!!

Thank you for contacting Play-Asia.com.

We regret that we are unable to provide an estimate time frame when we can ship out 'GTA IV' at the moment as this is really depending on the stock level which our suppliers could provide us. Please no worry, we will make sure to ship out this order immediately once stocked. Thanks for your patience.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Best regards,

Bryan

Dont worry? Of course I know that you will ship it when it's stocked. WHEN THE f**k IS THAT!?

On the play-asia site it says they will be recieving the pre-orders tomorrow and shipped out. So considering it takes time we should recieve it no earlier than late next week or the following week.

yeah? hmm I'll have to pay attention again, but I swear it said 720p.

Yeah its weird, call of duty does it aswell.

In the settings menu on the PS3 where you set the video settings (720,1080i,1080p), if you have all three selected it automatically plays on 720. However if you deselect 720, it will play on 1080p. I wonder why it does this

Doing a burnout for a while blows your tyres!!! Fantastic :)

Yeah they're site says that, but this guys answer doesnt sound promising:

so the only thing to be cut was... an anal raping scene? lol

so, how cheap is play asia compared to buying it from a retailer her in Aus?

Theres a few other things.. Nipples censored, blood doesnt pool on the ground etc etc

Its not that much cheaper than BigW who had it for $78 or something. It's $70AUD on Playasia. The only reason that I ordered from playasia instead was that I didnt expect it to come out at such a low price in Oz! Most big PS3 games are $100+

Yeah I ended up paying $73.00 AUD including delivery. Kinda sucks now I hear BigW is selling it for $78.

Ohwell thats life.

For anyone who has not yet bought the game

in the o/s edition when you pick up hookers you can pick between 3 "services" which are then played out in front of you in full view! in the aus version you pick them up and jus see the bumper bounce up and down.

well this should explain my resolution question. and why mine defaults to 720p. pinched from another forum:

"There are 3 types of HD games on the PS3.

Games that are 720p native (will not run at higher resolutions).

Games that are 1080p native (will run at 720p, 1080i & 1080p).

And games that support 720p & 1080i.

You can't force or "trick" a game to run at 1080p if it doesn't support it. What you are doing is getting it to run at 1080i, then the PS3 is outputting the signal progressive. The reason games that support 720p and 1080i default to 720p is that 720p outputs at 60 frames-per-second, and 1080i is half that (30 fps). Visual detail on a moving image is about the same for both resolutions (1080i is twice as many pixels, half as fast) but the higher frame rate is better for gaming. So when you try and force a game to 1080p you are actually getting a lower frame rate, and no increase in quality.

The reason they put 1080i support in games is that some older HD sets do not have 720p (they are 1080i only for HD), and on those sets a 720 only game ends up running at 480p SD resolution (Sony never enabled full hardware scaling for HD games). The game knows the best resolution to run at, so don't waste your time trying to "trick" it because you can't get 1080p out of a game that doesn't support it. Games that have true 1080p support will run at 1080p. If the game picks something else then that is the best resolution for the game.

NOTE: COD4 is a special case because it does "support" 1080p output, but it is not rendered at 1080p. COD4 has software scaling built-in to the game engine. It is actually rendered at 600p and scaled to whatever resolution your TV requires, so the game is not really a 1080p game."

    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
