My problem with most regular PWO users is that in 99.9% of them, you can spot an obvious issue with either their diet, routine, or rest periods. The marketed nature of the product is geared towards people who throw money at problems to make them go away quickly. The mindset of the regular PWO user is therefore the same kind of person who:

- skips gym if their personal trainer or gym buddy can't make it

- recommends to much stronger/bigger people that they try the PWO too

- brags about the PWO giving them an extra rep on an isolation movement

- is "cutting" for a music festival and struggling to get through their regular workout

- skipped lunch that day

- got drunk the night before and had 4 hours sleep

- has about 3-5 supplements from GNC

so, so true. no more needs to be said!

Well another session on GAT's pre work out. Definitely increased focus. I was falling asleep at work before I had it, afterwards I felt more awake and focused and just ready for a hard work out.

Managed 100KG dead lift at the end of the work out for 3 reps hopefully next week ill make 5 reps.

And a little good news hit 73.5kg on the scales this week. Up from 72.2 previous weeks and after my normal long time spent on the shitter. Hopefully im breaking the 72kg barrier but wont really know for a couple of weeks

I have one of my lifters mum training at my gym now, its now been 8 weeks, never been in a gym before. On Monday she squatted 70kg x 5, benched 57.5kg x 5 and deadlifted 100kg x 5.

Only posting this as I'm very impressed at her progress and commitment , no one thought she would last. Been doing full body 3 x week beginners workout, with some twists

that is impressive - had she trained before? Was that just doing your regular beginners workout?

I started bench pressing again yesterday - I found that I had to drop a reasonable amount of weight to keep my arms tucked in and not all the way out, but did not get any unnatural feeling in the shoulders thankfully.

Pushes focus more onto triceps than shoulders, so it's normal to experience a shift in strength when changing technique like that. Isn't long before it catches up again though.

No shes brand new to lifting, she has a 23yo son Dan, he's 6'6" and 155kg lol, Jack

While I've got you Dan, I have 2 x 50lb plates, 4 x 25lb plates and 2 x 10lb plates, plus some small stuff, all 1" hole, if you want to pick up, for the never to be repeated price of free.99. These are very thin plates, easy to get heaps of weight on the bar, around 100kg (220lb)

I would love that, collecting it may be an issue given the distance though.

Freight would work out around the 140-160 mark which still isn't bad, but would require some assistance from you (to package/be available when pickup occurs).

I might have a mate down Frankston way who could collect them though.

Tip a DECA regular $50 to collect them dude.

Markos quick question. I honestly think its the mental struggle in the gym and outside that decides if the person will succeed. Have you had anyone in your gym with such issues ( depression, anxiety etc ) and have actually succeeded or are we just a lost cause?

I have a girl who is schizophrenic and suffers paranoia, shes doing okay.

As far as depression goes, pretty hard to be depressed in here, lots of fun, mucking around, jokes, stealing guys cars and having them reported to the cops, freezing their belts etc, normal stuff.

So to answer your question, I tell my clients that if they walk through the door theyre right to train.

We do have some retarded lifters like Ross, but most like him lol

No ones a lost cause, no one

Dudes I've refunded your donations for supplement research, as endless promises from testing companies saying they will get back to me with information about how to send them a sample, are getting tedious. Sorry lads, I tried :(

Nee-san do you wanna pm me your bank details and I'll send you some monies? Cheers

Lifting can be a good escape from everything I find. The only struggle is actually getting yourself there if you are feeling down. But once you get there and get some music going, for that 1.5 hours or so nothing else really matters.

Thanks for trying though! Money received.

Never cared for what they do, never cared for what they know...

    • Yeah, I don't believe the M35 uses a deadhead system.
    • Have you done your thinking backwards? 3 bar, 43.5 psi pressure drop being the presumed specification for an injector, means you need 3 bar upstream when they are firing into atmospheric pressure, and more upstream pressure than that when on boost (you add your boost to your rail pressure to maintain 3 bar across the injector) and you need..... less pressure upstream when you have vacuum in the manifold. So, presuming that you're idling at -10 psi, then you only need ~23 psi in the rail. I realise that I did not need to say all of that to you specifically Matt, once you'd realised your mistake. It's mostly there for complete clarity for others.
    • Have you reached out to the guys at Spool Imports? They are a Ross dealer, I can imagine they would have the rings just sitting on the shelf (I could be wrong).
    • There's one for sale at Grand Auto Wreckers in Lonsdale (SA), for .... let's suggest the sum they're asking for will make you cry. You may have to embrace the idea of modifying the rear subframe to accept some other diff. You could probably find a way to wangle a shortnose into there, with a custom rear adapter and some sort of shenanigans to relocate the front mounts. This has probably already been done by others, so there might be some guidance available as to how easy/impossible it is, out there in the googles. But you possibly needn't restrict yourself to Nissan diffs if you're going to contemplate that. There are similarish Toyota diffs, possibly some Euro ones, possibly some Seppo ones.
    • The ball joint taper and arm taper have to match angle and diameter, but just doing the bushes is a much better option.....seems like the industry moved to "it is cheaper to replace the whole arm than take on the labour for changing this bushes", glad the aftermarket supports it
