Let me asure you the footage does not do the car any justice.

This is by far the hardest thing I have ever driven. The only indication of this is how quickly I have to put my hand back on the steering wheel after a gear change.

The springs are curently too soft as the car is now wider this acts as a extended leaver to compres the spring, damper and sway bars. This coupled with rediculasy quick shock rebound and little droop on rebound basickly means the rear wheels trys to push the back of the car off the bumps in to the air.

Not a cool sensation.

But yeah with a bit more rear grip I can expect more drive out of the corners , mid corner stability and stable braking.

What is it with R32s being all taley under brakes? Reminds me of how my car used to be, only worse because you are going so much quicker :P

Sounds and looks great. Since its easier to put my brakes and suspension in your car then your engine and gearbox in my car... dont need two guesses for which car is going to be taken to pieces :D All for the common good, gettign some R32 GTSt's up those time sheets :)

Bris, let the Stig drive your car, let's see if that RB20 really is indestructable.. 'guarenteed to break your car and your PB'.....

You are a young man and soon to be father. You dont want .. i mean need to drive the R32 Widowmaker :P

I will give you a steer of my car...if you dont break my PB, i want a crack in your car :D IActually, your car is too nice and does what it is supposed to be. My car feels faster going slow :)

Ah I see, still didn't look like a massive handful but maybe that was just due to your calm driving, you weren't sawing at the wheel like a madman or anything just very precise... made it look too easy! except for a couple of moments under braking, they looked pretty scary... brake bias issue or just the rear skipping over the bumps as it unloads?

ps. I love the sound your car makes :P

Adz - looks like your flying in that vid!!!! My vids look like I'm taking a scenic drive coz its so quiet...

Looks like there's a lot of potential, especially if Ben waves his magic wand over the suspension....

Bris - DEAL!!!!

Nice work adz. Once that suspension is sorted im keen to see what you can muster up. We laugh now at the 1.18 jokes, but my money is on this rwd to get there. Makes me happy to see more balls out cars. no abs, no 4wd, silly power. its a mans car!

I think the brake issue is a bit of both, set up and the car could now do with a brake bias valve.

Dude - Your so quick on the oppo lock.

There was at least four times in that vid that your car would have spat me off the black stuff.

Very quick reflexes. One of the main reasons I let you drive my car. Nice work.

Having followed that little white 1600 that does 1:19s, i was better under brakes and through corners, but it left me for dead in a straight line. (this is with my old Bilsteins that as Juzz will confirm, left the car a real handful under brakes). Since Big Red seesm to have a simuilar amount of legs down the straight, there is no reason why with some better undercarriage it cant match the 1600s time. God knows the driver has the required tackle :)

So thought it would be interesting to compare the best lap i have on film at Sandown to Hand Bag's footage of the weekend. My car with the Teins gets the power down better then in this vid which is still running the Bilsteins...so with the RAs in your car i think your car would be less pointy/darty in the corners as if you play these two vids side by side you see how much your thing is struggling for grip  Knowing my car is far from optimum, lol well i cant wait to see your thing flying. Finally an R32GTSt that is on the money. Can you tell im excited ;):)

Start Big Red at about 3.23sec and mine from the start

    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
