Yeah and his daddy owns a whole fleet of awesome cars including a couple of Ferraris and one of the few W427 commos ever made (build plate number 3) - went for a short blast in it a few weeks back and it was quite impressive - but at more $$$ than an R35GTR is insane!

Well, Well. . . forums can be full of S*** but I never thought I would read crap like this.

Where do I start. . . The Red GTR (GTR TT) is ours . . . and we all can use it, but it was Dans idea to buy it and Tuna (Martin Donnan) gave me a nudge. Dan certainly has driven it the most. . and he gets the job of looking after it, BUT Mark & Leigh - my other sons and I all drive it !

There are no Ferrari's in our garages. . . but I have acquired a taste for the 458 Italia. We do not own "The Wash" . . . but I wouldn't mind it. . . !!

There is a W427 in the garage & it is build number 005. . . . But nightcrawler. . . dear o' dear. . . if you pull that thing of yours any more you may just "BLOW" one of your fingers off. . .

. . . NOW get on here and tell the F****** real story.

Sexy as hell car man. I saw it a couple weeks ago near the holden hill cop shop. If your sons ever get tired of looking after it, I know someone who wouldnt mind *nudge nudge*wink wink*

Well excuse me for being misinformed about your lack of Ferraris .... and the build plate of your W427 (I was close though :P ) .... and oh yeah, sorry change 'went for a blast in' to 'fapped over at Willall's' - you got me there :D Bit of wishful thinking on my part .... nice cars anyhow

I gotta agree with Cronic here.... theres nothing more annoying than seeing people spot their own cars

if that were the case I'd be reporting here daily about every time i took it to work

and writeoff would be talking about everytime he went to the crash repairer to discover that nothing had been done

and cronic having looked at his car for the last 9 months while it did sweet f**k all

please keep your 'own car news' to wasteland. i hate this 'spotted my own shit, in my own crib' type posts

well he didnt make himself look like a dick as many first posters do

plus, hes taken umbrage against some semi incorrect information (aka "rumors") being spread around. I'd be smegged off too

but we all friends here, we should all realize that the net is a stupidly impassionate place to discuss. no body language, no tone of voice, or context to interpret the words.

which means, we, all of us, should relax, and drink a big cup of 'shut the f**k up' and smoke some 'chill the hell out' cigars too

making love is infinately more profitable than making war, unless u got stock in northrop grumman

-D

stick to being a hitman :P cause you sure aint gonna make any $ outa making love to me big boy

spotted spotted thread going off topic :D

i look at you dan, and i get an instant soft on

im suing for damages

Craig, if I felt he was outta line with only a handfull of posts as he does, then he would be outta here even if he owned that Ferrari.

It was just a comeback at certain allegations and misinformation......so pretty much just defending himself or just setting the record straight.......no harm done.

Cronic was more outta line than this fella with his tirade against Cara, but I let it go cause at the end of the day he made a good point.......spotting your own car constantly is pretty silly.

Cara, might be better to update your crash repairs in the Wasteland in future.

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
