silver r34 with autobarn fake GTR badge on it and what looked like bob jane 5 spokers, twice in MV area. badge wasnt even mounted on the right side under the lock ??? take it off tool and melt down those wheels ,,,they're hideous!!!

wine r33 with a kit, no wing, maybe jack 88 too far away to tell

spotted loads of muscle cars and other rare cars - not sure how to describe it - heaps of restored cars etc firstly down at the southbank? plaza carpark on sherriffs rd then later as I was driving home on south rd it looked like they'd all moved on to castle plaza car park (unless it was a different meet?). I decided to drive through the carpark to check them out - there were some real nice machines in there. Almost filled up the entire castle plaza carpark to give you an idea of how many there were.

When was this? I know a fair few of these blokes, and some of their cars are prone to overheating issues ... would've been an interesting day.

:ermm:

Spotted RBWARE this morning on south rd, I was the one who beeped at you Shane in the silver ford.... Also spotted maroon r33 in melrose park, a black r31 at grand auto wreckers, saw a few others aswell this morning .

Saturday night in whyalla spotted a purple r34 with the drivers side rear quarter panel not looking to good looked like someones had either hit him or he hit someone but by the way he was driving I'd say he hit something .........

sorry, forgot to mention - it was on saturday afternoon/night. Probably around 6-8pm. I passed southbank plaza on the way to the beach then passed them again at castle plaza on my way home a couple hours later.

Most of the cars were just parked there and only a few were coming and going. The speed humps at castle plaza proved a hazard for some.

I felt rather out of place in the M35 stagea but I was only there for a quick stickybeak. :D

spotted White R34 REGO "GTT", on south rd. junkfood corner

also a white r33 next to him going onto town

and a white r33 for sale on the corner at bridgestone,

and mine,,, damn 4 white skylines in one place how random..lol

spotted a gunmetal 32 and a greeny/blue 33 on beach rd around 3.30, also spotted a fully sick vy calais trying to chirp his wheels in the bp morphett vale servo while i was filling up :) (its amazing what commodore drivers do when they get embarrassed), then spotted chris's white 32 4door at autobarn lonsdale as usual  also spotted a silver 34 4door on south rd at darlington, then an immaculate white stag rs4 manual at the carwash on south rd bedford park, had a chat with the new owner (literally just drove it off the ship), and then got a nod from a maroon s14 at the blacks rd/oakridge rd round about just before

That was 3 days ago (Sat night).....started at Southgate, 1/2 way at Castle Plaza and finished at Gepps Cross.

It was Grant Zipple's cruise.

I got an invite but was way too hot to be riding an air cooled bike, otherwise I would've joined all the other US Customs.......maybe next time.

Grant regularly gets 300 or more Customs on his cruises and NEVER gets hassled by cops.......the ONLY cruisers in SA that the cops respect.

Yeah there were so many cars there...and I did note the lack of police anywhere. I was impressed. No tools doing burnouts or anything like that - just a big bunch of car enthusiasts showing off their pride n joy.

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
