very nice results mate looks like it would be very quick on the street, looking at a similar package as yours, got the microtech and everything else, just dunno which turbo as yet but i'm after sumthing fun to drive on the street and the gt-rs certainly looks fun,

does anyone know of a decent tuner of microtech in brisbane, because everyone i talk to regards them as being a bit rough, but obviously it comes down to the tuner, just trying to find one who specialises in them at the moment.

Nice result! cant wait to get mine tuned :D, only 25days away lol

What fuel? and are you still using the stock dump and front pipes or after market?

Just on BP 98 Octane, wish we had some of that 100 Shell fuel up here :/

Yeah aftermarket all in one bellmouth 3" dump pipe.

You'll love it man, IMO its probably one of the best sized turbos you can go on a RB25 with getting good power out of it and being very responsive at the same time. Very good street driving.

Here's mine...

dangerman, you're an idiot :ermm:

for starters you can't even see how much power its making at 60km/h, and even if you could I doubt the postie bike makes anywhere near that.

Thats also where the graph starts, which means thats where the tuner accelerated...before that he was cruising in 4th gear. Well done, moron :D

is that cos its microtech or cos its map sensor thats its poo ?

map sensor is fine

it doesnt have idle up when cold, so it makes it hard to tune when its dead cold, but with abit of time you can get it so its perfect.

how long did it take him to tune start to finish? Also what did your tuner do about knock? or did he just stay conservative enough not to have to worry about it?

He listened for knock electronically (not sure the exact name of the machine they use, im sure someone here knows though), and there was no knock. The tune was done safe to accomodate for hot days up here.

Well he had it for 2 days just so he could get it right and i told him he could have it for as long as he wanted, he also road tuned it to get it driving perfect and spent a few hours on idle alone to get it perfect. He went out of his way to make me happy with it and he succeded greatly. Only person i will use in Townsville now for any work that i can't do myself.

F@#* dangerman that just shit comment but that's my opinion.

any way i found my last dyno with my torque level, id like to see a post bike like this, even some larger turbos don't make torque like this...

Hehe i dont have a gt-rs, that was my orignal choice and i was dead set on it after reading what everyone thought about them, but after doing hours of research it seemed the hks 3037 pro s was the better overall option, so thats what i went for :D , my aim is 270-280rwkw with a nice safe tune, only downside is im going to be running 95octane (all we have in my town which sucks) so i might need a little bit over 1bar to make that power, should be perfect for the street/track in my opinion.

Anyway awsome result man!:D

I really dont know how much to read into torque

This was my readout with standard everything really

it is an auto and in second gear i think that make abit of a difference with gear ratios etc ( not sure the exact ratio of 2nd compared to a manual in 3rd gear)

Hmm something dodge with that torque readout. Maybe some others more knowledge than I can explain how it could read that. Maybe the one above is also subject to discrepancy via how its measured... but stock doing 800Nm is a 'off' looking lol Also... you're power looks insanely high for a stock GTT/GTST type engine. Aren't dyno runs usually done in 4th or 3rd? Don't recall seeing one in 2nd before.

Maybe this is why my mechanic said he doesn't usually bother measuring torque cos it depends on the dyno setup too heavily? or how its used... or something

    • Thank you, 100% the intent. New coils were due and the 17" sixers look/feel loads better than the stock wheels. The aero options are so spot on.   Thanks for the warm welcome, all!
    • 98 r34 gtt Been rocking my latest setup and car running like never before. Have put a good 200 miles on it since all the latest changes and additions. everything is dialed in and have been driving it a bunch.   However, all a sudden last weekend as soon as I pushed throttle passed 4k and the engine stumbles, (slow or fast acceleration) hesitates and doesn’t go above 4100 or so, like a misfire. Everything else seems fine. I had a “good” set of coil packs that I removed from car when I first got it when I changed them over to new coils. I swapped out current ones for those, but no change. I also changed the plugs, no change. Seems to rev over 4 when out of gear with no load just fine no “misfire”, but as soon as its in gear with a load of any kind, it “misfires” as soon as rpm drop back below 4 k it runs perfectly, smooth, starts, restarts and drives fine as long as I keep it below 4 k while in gear. All readings look fine, no CEL   Any idea as to what could all a sudden cause an issue when pushing rpms passed 4 k?
    • When you say your cams are 272/262 is that 272in and 262ex?
    • We're arguing semantics. I am saying 45 accel and a 55 deccel ramp are "2 ways". Even a 45 degree ramp and an 89 degree ramp is "2 ways", because it is literally... two ways. The cusco 55/30 ramp is a 2 way. It's two ways. I get it though - in normal nomenclature a "2 way" would be 45/45 or 55/55 or 60/60 i.e the same locking in both directions. And something like 45/65 would be considered "1.5 way". I would then say if we're getting into the nitty gritty then every locking diff is a "2 way" diff and we should not speak in 1.5, or 2 ways but ramp angles instead. Which ofc if one of those ramp angles is 90deg, that side is not doing any locking. :p So Nismo don't obviously sell 3 things. The fact of the matter that they only sell two items really goes to show that there's a 2 way and a "1,5 way" which is really a 1 way. I believe the actual lockup for the 'adjustability' of the GT pro is really just setting preload for when the ramps actually start locking up. It's not changing how much 'wayness' there is. It is (somehow) horribly explained. People just buy whatever diff and go "locks up good bruh" and that's what ends up on socials forever.
