CB auto coupe coming out of Stratco Canning Vale about 3pm Saturday. Had CF vented bonnet, aftermarket body kit & zorst. Can't say I was diggin' the look or the sound but each to their own.

So I've been road tripping .... saw two in my travels:

1. silver coupe, personal plates br***a, 1.20pm, Pacific Hwy Linfield NSW, on Sunday 17 April.

2. black coupe, 12pm, Princes Hwy Tempe NSW, on Monday 18 April.

Spotted "Pulp" on Morley Dr turning onto Dianella Dr in Nollamara area (WA) at 7:40pm on Sunday (24-04-11).

I was in my Dualis on Dianella Dr traffic light.

Hi Dave,

Yeah, I think I spotted you like twice before. :)

Dualis is ok, for a city driving as a daily. I wouldn't recommend an offroad duty as it has a small engine. :P

Spotted a pearl white V35 coupe driving through East Parade onto Graham Farmer Fwy in East Perth area (WA) around 6:00pm on Saturday (07-05-11).

I was in my friend's gun metal Silvia S15 behind and drove past you on the Fwy. Damn, the rear end of the V35 are sexy. :)

Yeah that's all I was think of using it for anyway :)

Still will be sad to get rid of the V :(

cheers mate!

Yesterday Spooted a silver coupe heading south in Rowville on Stud rd about 9:45 and a silver sedan going east on the eastern fwy at about 6:00

The coupe would have been me :) Were you in the sedan behind me?

Also spotted a white coupe in Ferntree Gully around 10 minutes earlier.

Yeah that's all I was think of using it for anyway :)

Still will be sad to get rid of the V :(

cheers mate!

In that case, Dualis should be great. :)

The car is not that big so it's easier for Mrs to park and drive, plus she loves the big moon roof.

Are you thinking of selling your V35 coupe soon, Dave? It sure will be sad to let it go. I thought of selling mine and getting the new STI or the Evo X MR before I bought the Dualis. But I decided to keep it instead and modify it as much as I can. That's why I got a Dualis for daily driving. :)

Well, come around to one of the events before you finally sell your V. Most of the new owners, including myself, haven't met you in person yet. It would be great to have a chat before your ownership changes. :)

Spotted a silver V35 coupe driving on Nicholson Rd in Canning Vale area (WA) around 5:40pm on Monday (09-05-11).

You saw me in my V35 coupe going the opposite direction. I was going to wave but didn't get to, because I just finished work and still got work stuffs running in my head. By the time I realised there's a V35, you drove past. :P

    • The alloy coolant reservoir has a sight glass, so as long as I can see coolant in the sight glass it's GTG, as for PS, it isn't anything catastrophic if it gets low, and as it hasn't lost a drop since I have owned the car I cannot see it being an issue, even after putting the "big block" 2.5 in....LOL The only time it gets slightly messy is at oil changes, as the oil filter sits above the frame, and I need to use a plastic bottle with its bottom cut off to catch the flow when loosening the filter
    • Good on you for taking on the job, but it is a big one. Even if you have bolt on manifold and turbo, you will need: Post throttle pressure source to boost controller to wastegate (and FPR, and ECU/MAP sensor) Pre throttle pressure source to top of BOV(s) Oil feed - you can take that from the standard port in the middle of the block Oil return to block under the turbo - this is much trickier than it seems to route a decent/wide pipe past the manifold. You really can't use rubber hose because it is way too hot there, and also the oil out of the turbo core is a bit frothy so it needs to have a decent diameter Water feed - you can take that from the standard port in the rear of the block. Water return - mine runs to a T into the heater box return, just make sure you don't create a high point making bleeding hard. All of those lines should use 200 series style teflon braided hose with heat shielding because everything needs to be routed past the manifold. Also a turbo beanie is a really good idea to minimise the chance of the car catching fire (under bonnet lining in particular) You also need to decide a cam cover breathing solution as well, will you vent externally via a catch can (probably illegal) or return to the intake (plumbing required and can oil up everything over time) Keep in mind the intake and exhaust piping in the engine bay will be custom so you either need to be able to fab ally and steel or have someone you can get a car that isn't running to. Get the wideband fitting welded into the dump pipe at the same time. Also, just my opinion, a screamer pipe attracts attention and doesn't add power, I'd plumb it back if you want to be allowed to keep the car on the road. BTW do you know anything about how healthy the motor is, and what power you are targeting? Doubling or tripling the factory power on an unknown motor is a little risky. Also fuel system will need some attention (pumps, high current hanger, direct power and earth feed, injectors etc)
