Not my point dude lol Neither is the HKS supra running a 4.8ltr V8 TT... or the HKS 180sx running a RB26DET... they are built for speed... OBHAVE was built to be the fastest 'GTSt' which to me is a RB25DET powered skyline... i'm not saying your wrong but i am jus saying his is hte fastest street gtst with an RB25 in it.

I checked out a R33 Skyline with the trust td06-20g turbo on it, it had 550cc injec reprogrammed ecu, nismo fuel pump, external gate, trust manifold + cooler and apexi exhaust, was making under 240rwkw... my current car has a gt3540 and is making 300rwkw using a rb25... hopefully will get dyno'd soon and hoping to making around the 350rwkw mark maybe more. The trust turbo started spooling up at 3000rpm was on full boost by 4500 or just abit after. my current turbo spools up earlier and is way more responsive aswell. Instead of spending the money on a trust td06 id rather go for a garret turbo and save $$$. My cars on 1.2 bar the r33 with tdo6 was on 1.3 but running standard internals.

No offence, but you bought the Skyline you are driving around already with the Garrett turbo on it. You had no imput whatsoever into the design of the motor or turbo setup, nor did you have any financial or availability concerns determining what turbo the car was going to run.

There's more than just a flat out money decision when purchasing a turbo.

Edit: How can you compare a dyno'd car with an unproven value? You can't make a valid comparison on the vehicles power...

No offence taken buddy. The reason i bought a car with all the set up on it is because i couldnt afford to build a skyline to the specs my car is at now. Now the price between the car i bought and looked at was only 2k. Not only that the car i bought is in much better condition.

I understand what your saying here "You had no imput whatsoever into the design of the motor or turbo setup, nor did you have any financial or availability concerns determining what turbo the car was going to run" but i did have enough money to choose what car i was going to buy and what i was looking for. Both cars were dyno'd and had dyno sheets and spec sheets. Looking at both of them the car i bought was much better and worth its price then the skyline with the tdo6.

"There's more than just a flat out money decision when purchasing a turbo" thats right. It depends on many things.

But what i stated was my opinion and what i experienced. Im not critisizing the td06 turbo... its each to there own.

RNS11Z... can you tell me what exhaust housing the TD06-20g was running on that R33? An did i read right... about 230rwkws at 1.3bar

Im not too sure about that. Im not so cluey on turbo a/r sizes. All i know is that it was using the TD06-20G turbo.

And it was either making 224rwk or 234rwkw... Im definately sure it was not over 240rwkw with standard internals and re-programmed ecu

True that, though how much is it for a Trust TD06-20g turbo?

/cough $3500!!!

Ok that was a shameless plug, but there is not much price difference between a brand new td06-20g kit and a T88 kit. Maybe you should be comparing your setup to a motor with a T88 and internals as well?

Edit - Like Leewah's? :D

YBSLO4

You are DEAD WRONG about the Wolf3D V4.##!

Hear are some facts on the new ECU:

-Fuel and Ignition maps are tunable every 125rpm and have 16 load bands.

-Fuel increments are 0.004mS

-Ignition increments are 0.035 Degrees

-Idle speed control-adj. every 2 degrees of engine temp.

-Boost control-adj. every 125rpm

Heaps more features are also included in the package. I would like to see the tunning features of the Power fc, just as a comparison.

I have had the WOLF in my car for about a year, and has been running sweet (once it was re-tunned properly).

    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
