Does the V66 still have launch control built in like the V88? Can you use the anti lag module with the V66 or only the V88? Does the V66 still have the adaptive knock control that the V88 has?

yes, yes and yes

As an educated guess I would dare say Ray Hall may have an egg in this ecus basket.

Ray Hall was the face of Richard Aubert, Aubert electronics aka AuTronic. And he is from Cairns.

Over the years, if you wanted any info, tech help, spare parts etc etc you got it from Ray Hall and not Richard Aubert.

No idea what happened but the autronic forum went missing which was controlled by Ray along with the domain name dramas.

Find the new autronic site and Ray Halls name is nowhere. Look under QLD distributors and his name is not there either. From the face of Autronic to not getting a mention one might presume a difference of opinion happened.

This new ECU is very SM4 based and the plug ins supported also resemble SM4 with the evo/wrx thing.

If they have taken the good features out from the SM4 and added things they and many others thought were missing like 6 ignition outputs 32bit etc etc it should be a great ecu.

Wish them and there distributors all the best.

Yep, totally agree. Having used a plug-in Autronic on my MY00 STi they were the bees nees. Good luck in the new venture.

i believe ray was involved in all the latest devolopments in the autronic with the plugin SM4? but looks like he's taken it to a whole new level and gone out to do it all himself i will definately be looking into this product for my gtr after the engine rebuild as im local to ray and i know he has a hub pack dyno in his workshop and would probaly be classed as one of the best people in australia for this sort of thing

will the skyline plug in version have a base map loaded on so you can drive it to the workshop like a powerfc? or will it have to be tuned from scratch?

Plug-ins will come preloaded with base map from factory

We will be developing a series of tunes that will able to be ordered to suit each customer for example RB26 2860-5's and 700cc injectors. This will only happen over time as we get more of these into vehicles and get more tunes catalogued. This will at least get the car running at a safe level so customers can see their respective tuner for a fine tune.
good news, the Nissan plug in will retail at just over $1500.

this thing just keeps getting better all the time.

will confirm concrete prices as soon as i recieve confirmation e-mail for the distributor

Hehe, you've got my attention too!

I was going to buy a new flatscreen or ECU... still have the cash lieing around somewhere... and I'm still undecided... the way this is going, I'll keep being undecided and have enough for both! :D

But yeah, I know nothing about ECUs and tuning cars, so everyone else who does know something can do the test runs ;)

Woo Theres a QLD distributor around the corner from my work :) might have to go have a looksy next week..see if i can wrangle a manual for one.

Edit: Quick tune compatible with all Wideband systems or only the Autronic?

Godzilla Motorsport will be a distributor as well...See Mark for supply and tuning

which one of these is to suit and r33 s2 on the website i says v44 and v88 but isnt there a 66, does this come with the anti lag/ limiter and knock control standard or are the included

sorry for my noobness

my bad just read the posts above regarding the anti lag and launch control etc

Edited by Nick033

like zebra mentioned, for wideband will it need a dynodynamics (autronic) sensor?

I wouldnt ask this next question about any other ecu but considering the possible background will it have any compatibility with autronic looms? i.e If an SM4 standalone is removed will the vipec plug in?

Looking to upgrade my autronic as someone bought it and havent decided what to put in its place.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty, one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
