MAN THIS JUST PISSES ME OFF!!!

I had to work so hard and save sooo long for a car i really wanted, not to mention convince my wife to let me sell her car and spend our money to buy this one, just for some low life junkie to steal it go for a joyride and smash it!

This was our only car, so now i have to catch public transport everywhere untill i get another car!

I wouldn't care so much that they stole it but did they have to right it off!?

Yes i'm insured but the pay-out isn't worth what the car is to me... and its such a crap system that the payout won't be enough for me to get another skyline unless someone wants to sell me their's for under 7grand... See why i'm so annoyed right now?

THIS SUX!!!!!

Thanks SAU for letting me vent.

That sucks buddy, had a theft attempt on my car so I feel your pain. And yes, the assholes who did it never got caught and the police didn't give two shits when I reported it. Sucks but that's the way it is. Did you have an alarm of any sorts?

Bastards !!!

May the gods strike their daughters down with a pox.

Well said!

Yeh they got past everything!

I even had it parked under a serveilance camera in a supposed 'secure' car park!

The prix are on camera driving off with my car!

And i had the same experience, the cops didn't care, i gave them a really detailed description of it (obvious stickers, style of rims, ect) when it went missing but all they wrote down and radio'd through was 'silver nissan skyline and my rego'... and comlained 'that their coming out was wasting their time, that i should of just reported it over the phone'... like i know what to do? i've never had my car stolen...

Is the wreck worth buying back from the insurance company?

You might be able to gain some $$ back if it's got parts worth wrecking/mods ect..

It might help you part way towards a good car again, depending on whats left ofcourse.

Yeh so far thats what it looks like i have to do.. i'm still waiting on the insurance company to get back to me to see more exactly what my options are..

Its not just the insurance stuff. Its just the weeks of headache we have to go through of getting to work, trying to do grocery shopping ect... we wanted to see my sis's new born baby but couldn't beacause we had no way of gettin there... Thanks Mr Thief!!

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
