If you guys are after Omega Jacks I MIGHT be able to source them at trade price and send them out.

See the attached images. The height comparison picture shows the omega jack (black one on the bottom) that I was looking into.

I like how that Blue-Point jack has a rubber seat/mount - much better than just a steel cup imo.

how much $$$ we looking at?

Subscribing ! My jack is leaking and CBF fixing it.

This is the one I'm most sold on ATM from Gasweld @ $215.00 - 100mm at lowered position & 520mm raised.

Did a Google search and a lot of reading and there are SO many jacks out there that are being recalled cause they don't meet Australian Standard/New Zealand AS/NZS 2615:1995 and have had proven failures. Had a jack fail on me as a 2nd year apprentice and it scared the crap outta me !

For the price that's probably the best so far, I like the little lever at the back.

My neighbour has 1 from SuperCheap that was under $200 and despite it being a cheap brand and bloody heavy it does work well without issues.

You should never be working under a car without proper axle stands anyway.

100mm is not low profile in my books, not sure about others.

yeah, 100mm isn't low profile at all, my crossmember is about 11cm if not 10 off the ground....

this is a good comparison of jacks: http://www.vorshlag.com/tech_jacks4.php

i like the AC Hydraulics DK13HLQ - its got a ultra long reach low profile for crossmembers that sit so far back. http://www.vorshlag.com/tech/floorjacks/bmw_jack.jpg

or how about this jack - its soo cheap: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/disp...temnumber=91039

100% agree with never working under a car without stands. When the jack started to give way, I had 1 stand under the chassis rail and I was just going around the other side to put the second one under. Because the jack failed pretty quickly, the chassis rail and floor pan were damaged and I SHIT myself. Up side was that it was a RR Silver Spur :D and not my fault ;).

Anyway, I agree that 100mm aint that low. Would like something like post-2420-1211710747_thumb.jpg ( either one ) or post-2420-1211712292_thumb.jpg but it has be be "safe" ( and a reasonable price ). If this or any jack can't comply with basic safety standards, I'm not sure if I'd want to trust my car & life to it.

i have been looking into these jacks and cant find anything available like the Blupoint/snap-on jack (like jamie has) thats long and low profile.

keen on what happens here

I was at Jamie's workshop today and asked about the Snap-on low-profile jack, $450.

so he did get the price

will need to go chat to him, well worth it really, 5-6 pumps to full height, low profile and he's had that for years and years and its still fine and used more than we ever will.

cheers Ben,

Thats the omega jack that PSi PARTS was talking about on the first page.

The one he said cant be sold here in australia as it doesnt meet our standards.

Just to avoid any confusion I might have started.

You cannot buy this jack (which I believe is the best one available) : http://www.tooltopia.com/index.asp?PageAct...mp;ProdID=11737

I can get these however: http://www.tradetools.com.au/ProdView.aspx...oduct=GJLUQ1500

Although I will need to check the trade price on these.

I went and checked out that jack on sat, the saddle height is fine BUT the rear of the jack(143mm) is where u will have trouble esp if u want to reach under the front cross member.

I need i trolley jack that is under 125mm at its highest point.

I suggest we keep looking

Regards

Trev

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
