+++ R32 GTR Identity Check +++

Stock fuel pressure regulator

I'm thinking i need a stock fuel pressure regulator (suit RB26) to clear ID check.

Mine looks a bit gay with yellow hose and gauge, may cause undue attention

Standard exhaust.

Have recently fitted Cat which quietened it a bit, but its still a bit loud, contemplating fitting a quieter exhaust for the inspection. ? If not available i might chance it. Any thoughts?

ryan, if you're driving over with us ive got a pair of 32 GTST stockies with the centres bored out to suit ford hubs that i carry as spares, so if u strike trouble i have them :)

keep an eye on pressures, that will be the key. Underinflated tyres will heat up excessively and blow out, generally what happens on trucks anyway :)

Hi guys.

I need to borrow a pair of stock GTR BOVs. I believe they can be from any of the R32-34 but am not 100% positive. I have a R32 GTR.

I need to lend the BOVs to Simon at Morpowa (Modbury North) to make up a custom return pipe for me as St Marys Collision Repair Centre lost mine when they failed to repair my car over the 12 month period they had it in 2008/9.

Please help me out. I have only had my GTR for 2x 3 month stints since blowing the engine over 4 years ago and in that time have poured thousands of $ down the GTR sumphole yet have had very little enjoyment from it. ATM I am in a very tight fiscal position and will be so until either Shannons finally pay me the $3.5k they have owed me since 2009 or I receive my legal settlement that has been going on since 2002.

Cheers.

Hey,

I'm after some 5x114.3 rims with legal tread to borrow for a few weeks to just a month tops.

Must be the same sizes and offset all around and no smaller then 16" for the new car.

I will pay for the usage for helping me out of course.

OH, and I wont be driving on them very much as I leave for work for a couple of weeks. I just need something to put the car on.

Kye i have S14 rims you can borrow, 3 of them have awesome tread, the other has around 50% tread and is different but shouldnt matter too much if you are just rolling it around. pickup in wingfield!

Im after somebody who runs a VG30 Turbo on an RB20.

Must run:

VG30 15psi (or their abouts)

FMIC

Any injectors is fine

Any AFM is fine

Should be making around the 19-205rwkw mark

Would like to borrow your ECU for 1 day and will give you $50 in return. Would like to get the tune copied by a professional.

    • I don't think the shuffle can damage the turbos. It only happens at low shaft speeds and loads. It's just annoying (to some people - others are tickled by the effect) and it quite possibly reduces spool performance a little bit.
    • Oh dear. The panel beating needs to be done before the filler work. Do you have a photo of the dent before you started? Hard enough to not flex and only hit the high spots?  What do you mean it was just temporary?

    • I appreciate the detailed explanation, think I understand now. I spent the better part of last night reading what I could about shuffle and potential solutions. I had replaced the OEM twin turbo pipe with an alternate Y pipe that is separated further away from the turbo. The current one is from HKS and I had a previous pipe that was separated even further away, both have shuffle. I had heard that a divider can be welded in to the OEM pipe to remove turbulence, and figure that aftermarket pipes that are more separated would achieve the same thing. From what I read, most people with -10 turbos get shuffle due to their size, though it's a bit less common with -5s on a standard RB26. I think Nismoid mentioned somewhere it's because OEM recirculation piping is common in Australia with -5 cars. It seems that the recommendation tends to vary between a few options, which I've ordered in what I think is most feasible for me:  1. Retune the MAP or boost controller to try to eliminate shuffle 2. Install OEM recirculation piping 3. Something called a 'balance pipe' welded onto the exhaust manifolds. I don't know if kits for this are available, seems like pure fabrication work 4. simply go single turbo My current layout is as follows: Garrett 2860 -5s HKS Racing Suction intake MAF delete pipes HKS racing chamber intake piping hard intercooler piping,  ARC intercooler HKS SSQV BOV and pipe Haltech 2500 elite ECU and boost solenoid/controller HPI dump pipes OEM exhaust manifolds HKS VCAM step 1 and supporting head modifications Built 2.6 bottom end All OEM recirculation piping was removed, relevant areas sealed off I'll keep an eye out for any alternative solutions but can get started with this.  Only other question is, does shuffle harm the turbo (or anything else)? It seems like some people say your turbo shafts will explode because of the opposing forces after a while and others say they just live with it and adjust their pedal foot accordingly.
