Hi Guys,

Some of you may remember me from the SAU HPI photoshoot a little while back. I'm partnered with Wil in W&B Automotive Photography. At the request of D_I_F, I've drawn up a cost structure for us to come to the Wakefield track day on the 21st.

What it will cost:

$20 per person, with a minimum of 10 people.

What you get:

Photos of the event, on CD

Additionally, A3 posters are available for $30 each

What I need:

I need those who're interested to reply with one of the following:

Confirmed (Willing to pay)

Interested (Considering)

Confirmed + Interested in prints (Willing to pay the $20 and considering a poster)

Further Information:

Wil isnt confirmed at this stage, and I'm investigating other people Ive shot motorsports with. This means you're getting up to two photographers who have track photography experience.

Those who sign up will have us focus on their cars, so expect a lot of photos.

D_I_F has arranged for unrestricted track access for us. We expect a lot of variation in the shots

Anyone who's had prints from us before will tell you about the quality

If you want a print at a size other than A3, we can arrange that (and costs will differ slightly)

For those unfamiliar with our work, it can be viewed at our site: www.wbcarphotos.com

Confirmed and interested in prints (as long as there's shiteloads of pics of my car)

Is there any work we can sample? Ive got a print before from Wil but none from you yet :)

Andrew was one of the other photographers on that SAU day as well.

Hi Guys,

So far, there's been a really good interest level. We're up to 8 people who've confirmed they're interested!

How many photos would you get on the CD? Atleast 5?

What we will most likely do is create a "best of" CD, which will contain the cars of the people who've confirmed. I dont want to put specific numbers on it, but I'm comfortable saying you'll get over 5 images of your car on the cd.

ok to pay on the day?

I think that's the best way to do it. If you want to order a print, we can organise it after the day (and once you've seen the edited photo).

D_I_F's right in saying I was present at the SAU/HPI shoot. In fact, every shoot Wil's done as W&B, Ive been there for. He's just been the "face" here because he's a member and knows you guys.

me too?

Confirmed?

Interested?

Two other points:

- In the Track day thread, someone asked about a group shot. This can be easily organised.

- On the day, its important I sight your car, so I know who you are (and who to shoot)

Yep I put the suggestion forward for a group shot, would be a cool thing to do and good to show at future events for the club :O Could get a great shot on the start line on the straight as a group maybe when we break for lunch...

I was going to put my race numbers on so easily spotted..as there is going to be 2 other white R32 GTR's there on the day and we all look very similar :domokun:

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
