Hi guys,

I am a happy and proud owner of a S2 v35 coupe in NZ. And I guess I am also one of those lucky ones in terms of keys for the car as mine came with 2 set of key and 1 valet key.

The car also has the immobiliser sticker on the window and my understanding is the NZ compliance does not have any rules with regards to the standard of the immobiliser.

I am keen to try out to ensure that the immobiliser is working or not. There is always a red LED light right next to the driver's side air condition vent that is blinking. I saw in this thread that to try to check if the immobiliser is working or not, one just need to take a copied key to try starting the engine with the original keys far away from the car because of the transponder chip in the original keys.

I haven't really made a copy of my original key. But does the valet key has a transponder chip in it as well? Can i use the valet key to test?

Advice on this is most appreciated!

Cheers!

Picked up my V35 Sedan this week and it came with just one remote and one key, and like others I didn't get the keycode with the car.

From reading this thread it appears the BCM code in the kick panel can be used to get the pin for a new key. I looked in there (see piccy) and it didn't look exactly like the others photos on this post. Is my BCM code from the piccy 3B071??

Mine is a 12/2005 manufactured V35 GT350 Sedan (4 door).

Any help appreciated!

Does anyone know how this transponder in the key works?

My wife's V35 sedan has 1 key so I had an idea. Why not get a key from a wrecker, get it reprogrammed and pair it with a recut key. To test the theory I got a flat key cut and tried it in the V35 and of course it did not work. The engine spun but did not start. I put the original key beside the flat key but still no good. I stuck the original key thru the hole in the end of the flat key so it was metal to metal and hit the starter but still no go.

So how the hell does this transponder work?

Tried to find your post but couldn't. Were the keys you got from a wreck V35 keys? Do you have a URL for where to get the blanks?

Thanks Chris, will see how I go.

For those who live in QLD i have a friend that can copy any key.

Just got two keys cut and programmed for my V35. $185e or cheaper if more than 1 or group of people get together and he will come and do them all.

They are non nissan keys btw.

Dont need BCM code, just a current key and the car. If you are after details please PM me.

Cheers

:(:) Well, picked up my new remote and blank keys from the Nissan Daler today (Unley Nissan in Adelaide) (ouch!!) but they couldn't code the new keys. Apparently their software could not get into the system (I gave them the pin code for the ECU ok). They said they thought it would be the same as the 350z software but apparently not - mine is a 12/2005 build V35 Sedan 350GT with the 3 button remote and the transponder key with no buttons (see piccy). When they booted up the software it apparently wanted to "reset steering lock" and they didn't want to reset the whole system in case it was permanently immobilised.

Has anyone else had a problem with resetting the 3 button remote that unlocks the doors and with this model keys???? If Nissan can't do it here where do I go?

find a dealer that knows how to change region on a C3 machine. the dealer I use for my parts here in brisbane has no issue with it.

short of that find a autoelec with a launch scan tool. that WILL do it.

Hi all

Well a very happy ending for me!! :P

Went to Main North Nissan here in Adelaide and spoke to Josh (excellent friendly service!!) and they coded the new remote and keys no problem!! Strange thing is, it is the same dealer as the one in Unley that couldn't do it, just a different branch. Just shows you you need to get the right person for the job!!

Anyone, I am safely sitting with spare keys and remote now

Thanks all for posts

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
