just wanna know where the best place to put a fire extinguisher in an r32?

last time i took out the top of the centre console and screwed it down in the existing holes.

but then when i got the car scrutinered (i cant spell) they told me that i needed to use bolts not self tapping screws so in the

end i had to duct tape it to the side of the seat. And they passed it but man there was no way i was getting that out in a hurry if there was a fire.

any suggestions on where to put it?

Troy. So you took the job!

I'll probably be at this. Havn't given it much thought though.

Yeh, working between Singapore, Malaysia and Hyderabad.

So its time for the rwd boys to step up and blow my PBs away. We cant have them standing any longer or the awd boys will think we are soft :)

I have mine mounted to a thin metal plate that is bolted in via the seat bolts in front of the drivers seat. I think I originally saw that idea on here, if you do a search you might be able to find it.

I'm trying to get ready, waiting on some tyres if I get back and can get them on my car is about right.

Cool man. Are you coming to watch?

I'm probably going to be at this but I don't think i'll be getting near 23's! Maybe a 27. I don't have enough power for sandown.

sweet i just changed my pads but dont know how worn the discs are

gonna search now bout the fire extinguisher.

ill be in...

i think ill jump in the standard class i wont push it too hard

Haha - well said.

Sandown can be tough on brakes, but just don't be silly. If you brakes start to feel different (fade away) don't keep pushing. Back off, put your hazzards on and keep off the racing line to let other past.

Flush the brake system and fill with Motul RBF, Motul 5.1 or Castrol SRF.

If i'm on the money I also only get one hot lap with my brakes. If you back off for a whole lap they should cool and come back to you, as long as your codriver hasn't completly cooked them??? Eh Adz....!!

My 1:23.1 was done with 234rwkws. Teh tyres were only one track day old as at Phillip Island the RE55s were brand spankers. I ran a 1:24 at Dutton in well used RE55s and the 260rwkws , but the driver was well off the pace that day due to enjoying whayt little Shepparton has to offer on Sat night :D

So 230rwkws shoud dbe good for a 23s ort high 22s if your tyres are up to it.

paid for my camms licence..... ill be there just wont go too hard every lap.

ive lowered the boost level now anyway, only making round 240 rwkw mark... 7000 rpm rev limit too

But still plenty :-)

just gotta get an extinguisher and mount it.

well last week i got 2 new tyres (although just stock federal street tyres). hoping to get a set of semis for the next one maybe...

brakes arrive tomorrow...

so im in. im really pumped for this one.

it'l be my second time at sandown, so hoping to beat my 1.26.4 i did last time

Im still tossing up whether or not to come...Id prefer not to drive in the rain as id like to able to drive my car home...dont want to waste my money to go hard for half the day...

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
