you serious, hmmmm, thats gay as aids

too late now, but next time write in and make professonal clause like, i was driving and the plate fell of window it was unsafe to stop so i did not, etc etc

you can normal bypass loss of points and get just written warning,

If you've already lost it, i honestly wouldnt go risking it again.

One pull over and you'll see enough demerits gone to have you on ice for 12 months, not good when you dont get many

they CANCELLED your licence for that? hard to believe.. i had my licence suspended for 6 months for speeding back in 06 [got licence in 05, so power to weight is the only restriction i have] and they didnt extend my probationary period at all.

im still getting my full licence in december this year, as though i never got suspended at all.

to answer your question though, yes i drive a turbo skyline on my Ps. it's fun :O

If you lose it for having all your demerit points used up, they only suspend your license depending on what you lost it for, and only add another 3 month extra onto your probationary period, as well taking your license for the original infringement which cause you to lose the demerit points, and add 3 months of suspension ontop.

I got done for speeding 30 over, but 35 under and copped a 1 month suspension and lost 4 points.... only have 1 left for 12 months... they sent me this booklet and it has all your options in it for when (if) you lose all your demerit points, you can keep driving but if you get caught 1 more time they take your license for the original time and add 6 months onto it

Iam on Green P's i had a R33 GTS-T i lost my points because of high power veichle, Now i have a GTR, I have about 6months left cant wait.

did you lose all your points just because of driving a high performance vehicle? or where there other things that contributed

how many points did you lose? what about the fine? i heard it can be a maximum of $1000?

I currently am on P's and own a r32 gtst.

The r32 gtst is in a grey area where no one really knows if its legal or not.

Due to the different weight and power between series 1 and series 2 models.

Although if you cant convince the police officer its legal, then you'll probably get fined...

The police officer who pulled me over used my vicroads weight (1250kg) and my power estimate of 158kw factory.

He whipped out his pocketPC and did the math which came out to be 126kw/tonne (limit being 125kw/tonne)

He let me off due to the 1kw over but said if i crashed it, insurance wont cover me and he will fine me then lol

How nice of him :O

So yeah, no way in hell the r32 weighs 1250kg, more like 1280kg+.

Next time i will just say 157kw instead of 158 and his calculator will show legal limit

Im sure i can argue a 1kw power loss over 15yrs ;)

I own an N/A coz im on my ps, dont have the balls to get a turbo one... dont wanna risk it.

However, i got pulled up and the cop told me it was a high powered vehicle, and i got a $200 fine and they took 3 points, but since it was a load of bullshit i got it squashed and my points back. Cop that gave me it was a complete dumb f**k

they should really take that into account. it is a valid arguement though.

yeah i think thats why he let me off, cause it be a bit tight to fine me for 1kw over.

Although he still defected me on the night haha

This was our friendly knox tmu who let me off, so he isnt that bad!1 apart from saying he will fine me if i stacked it :O

how many points did you lose? what about the fine? i heard it can be a maximum of $1000?

3points for i high power veichle my fine was only $174.00.

Once i was pulled up in my work street and was so lucky as the cop didnt no Sh*t about cars he just gave me a fine for modiffided veichle because i had a cooler and then he ask me is this car turbo LOl.

second day in a row got dicked for driving my car, by the same constable hamlyn or somehting, undercover commodore, $227 fine, no demerit points

then after he overtook me and pulled up another r33 p plater if i remember - AFIRST

That would be me mate!! hahaha :) having a little squiz at your ride before he got me! he is the same knob who tried to get me about a month ago while I was filling up petrol at the nuna shell. standing there minding my own business when he rocks up, goes "Turbo?" i said yeh, he goes "too powerful" and then i beat him with rubbish statistics because mine is a GTS4 and is heavier then a standard GTST! so he went on his merry way!

he picked me up tonight for a chat..... remembered who I was.. didn't even need to see my license and gave me an update from when he tried to pick me up at shell.... he apparently looked that night for over 3 hours for power and weight info about my car... couldnt find anything, which I told him so, he said he still rekens mines over but just cant prove it cuz its that rare... I laughed at him and then he put his face into my HIDs... said theyre bright... I said yeh... he also commented on my back blue skyline light saying (in quote) : "That blue light at the back dude, its a bit gay" I told him most people like it.. we said our goodbyes and he was off to have a w@nk at the next skyline.

I loled all the way home.

    • Yup. You can get creative and make a sort of "bracket" with cable ties. Put 2 around the sender with a third passing underneath them strapped down against the sender. Then that third one is able to be passed through some hole at right angles to the orientation of the sender. Or some variation on the theme. Yes.... ummm, with caveats? I mean, the sender is BSP and you would likely have AN stuff on the hose, so yes, there would be the adapter you mention. But the block end will either be 1/8 NPT if that thread is still OK in there, or you can drill and tap it out to 1/4 BSP or NPT and use appropriate adapter there. As it stands, your mention of 1/8 BSPT male seems... wrong for the 1/8 NPT female it has to go into. The hose will be better, because even with the bush, the mass of the sender will be "hanging" off a hard threaded connection and will add some stress/strain to that. It might fail in the future. The hose eliminates almost all such risk - but adds in several more threaded connections to leak from! It really should be tapered, but it looks very long in that photo with no taper visible. If you have it in hand you should be able to see if it tapered or not. There technically is no possibility of a mechanical seal with a parallel male in a parallel female, so it is hard to believe that it is parallel male, but weirder things have happened. Maybe it's meant to seat on some surface when screwed in on the original installation? Anyway, at that thread size, parallel in parallel, with tape and goop, will seal just fine.
    • How do you propose I cable tie this: To something securely? Is it really just a case of finding a couple of holes and ziptying it there so it never goes flying or starts dangling around, more or less? Then run a 1/8 BSP Female to [hose adapter of choice?/AN?] and then the opposing fitting at the bush-into-oil-block end? being the hose-into-realistically likely a 1/8 BSPT male) Is this going to provide any real benefit over using a stainless/steel 1/4 to 1/8 BSPT reducing bush? I am making the assumption the OEM sender is BSPT not BSPP/BSP
    • I fashioned a ramp out of a couple of pieces of 140x35 lumber, to get the bumper up slightly, and then one of these is what I use
    • I wouldn't worry about dissimilar metal corrosion, should you just buy/make a steel replacement. There will be thread tape and sealant compound between the metals. The few little spots where they touch each other will be deep inside the joint, unable to get wet. And the alloy block is much much larger than a small steel fitting, so there is plenty of "sacrificial" capacity there. Any bush you put in there will be dissimilar anyway. Either steel or brass. Maybe stainless. All of them are different to the other parts in the chain. But what I said above still applies.
    • You are all good then, I didn't realise the port was in a part you can (have!) remove. Just pull the broken part out, clean it and the threads should be fine. Yes, the whole point about remote mounting is it takes almost all of the vibration out via the flexible hose. You just need a convenient chassis point and a cable tie or 3.
