GT47R I believe

Whenever I used to see a big turbo and I went to explain it's size i would always say, "It was bigger the ya head!"

That's why this one has a hat on it :P

Yes that turbo would almost weigh 1/2 your body weight Steve

I am the sales manager at HP-F it spends most of its life sitting in our workshop.

We asked Autosalon crew whether it would handle the power but they werent sure so wasnt gonna bother.

We shall see it at Summernats hopefully should crack 2000rwhp.

Speaking of big f***ing turbos, saw that HKS have a new turbo, the T62R. If i remember correctly its rated to 1100PS.

They are actually 1200PS....using a 108mm compressor...im running a modified HKS T51R SPL BB with this same compressor wheel. But sticking with the smaller turbine of the T51R compared to the T62R to possibly retain some sort of midrange...lol.

Should be good for a genuine 900hp at the tyres without the spray.

whole lot of good that ones goin to do.. with no wheels and all.

speaking of summernats...is he looking at going or what???

nothing more fun sitting in a big shed with a car pulling off 1900rwhp :)

woop woop

Since Lyle is no longer with us.We would have to wait for permission from his wife before we can start MR PSI up, but i'm pretty sure Summernats will be on the agenda.

Ok Autosalon were there any other cars on there that had results on other dyno's?

were any of the insane drifters on the dyno would be interesting to see what they pulled on this dyno that is saposadly way out?

yeah everyone was out, we ran athids car on RE customs dyno the other night and it came up within a poofteeth of mine.... they dyno operator told athid it should be run in 4th (car was s15) and it ran 240rwkw..... ran it at re's and it ran 280 in 5th on 19"s with wheelspin... then ran it in 4th and it made 259rwkw. If it had had been done properly athid would have taken out 4cyl turbo EASY... (LOVE THE BULLSHIT ABOUT HIGHER READINGS IN A LOWER GEAR)

DARRENs supra from ran well below its hp level (400hp off on sat) until sunday when it got tweaked to suit and rocketed to top position... only to be outdone by GAS on the last run of the day.

Angelos r33 GTR from racepace ran mid 314rwkw.....well down so it was pretty much all workshops with odd readings..... not foul play just poor operators.

shit even a R32 GTR pulled 140.... talk about sad..

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
